I've been with John Hoffman at State Farm in Independence for many years now and I'm here to say that he is an excellent agent who represents his agency very well. John Hoffman goes above and beyond what a normal agent would do. I would have to say he's the best in the state of Kentucky. He's very quick and efficient when an accident or other problem arises. If you need an insurance company and agent go to John Hoffman at State Farm. I highly recommend him!

John Hoffman and his staff have been a refreshing change to what we unfortunately have become used to with respect to client service expectations. John has been nothing but completely attentive to all of our insurance needs, and is extremely accessible and responsive whether there an issue arises, or whether we just have general inquiries. Recently, John even helped us navigate through a situation with a third party insurance company, as he wanted to ensure we were informed of our options and were able to achieve the best outcome for our family. It goes without saying, but I would highly recommend John Hoffman and his great staff to anyone!

Have been with John Hoffman-State Farm for quite sometime, my late mother Melinda recommended them. She was not wrong, they are extremely kind, helpful and sincere in helping and really caring for their customers, when she passed you could tell their condolences were sincere. I highly recommend John Hoffman State Farm for so many reasons. You will not be disappointed!!
I would also like to add-I too had to use their road side assistance for my car just needing a simple jump, although JH State Farm contracts out-they did not disappoint with whom provided my car a jump!! They were here within 45 minutes, professional and were able to get me to work still relatively on time!!

I have been a loyal State Farm customer for approx 30 years. I am now in the process of switching insurance providers. In my opinion, Mr. Hoffman and his team, while very polite, did not provide me with acceptable customer service. State Farm’s premiums are usually higher than most other providers. I was content paying those premiums for years, because of the high level of customer service that my long time agent provided. I’m still paying high premiums, but the customer service has been in serious decline for the last 3-4 years. At first I noticed it with things like roadside assistance, not really agent customer service. It would take hours and hours for roadside assistance.
Now the issue isn’t just with things like roadside assistance. State Farm is currently cancelling one of my policies ( that has a 3 year accident free discount), because they can’t legally cancel our “auto renew-policy” that has had claims filed against it.
As my agent, Mr. Hoffman called me in January to say he would “file an appeal” and he felt like the appeal would be successful, given the policy was less than a year away from a 6 year accident free discount and the fact I had been a State Farm customer for so long. He said that policies were cancelled through an automated process and weren’t usually looked at by an actual employee unless there was an appeal filed. After more than 30 days I called Mr. Hoffmann’s office twice the same week to get a status update on the appeal. I was told it was “still in process”, by Mr. Hoffman’s staff. Finally on that Saturday, Mr. Hoffman called me and admittedly had not even filed the appeal, noted my account , or even really remembered our 30+ minute conversation about the appeal. He then supposedly filed an appeal that same Saturday and I received a call from his office Monday morning (48 hours later) saying the appeal was denied. Per Mr. Hoffman I’m not permitted to see the appeal or the denial. His staff member told me that my appeal was still being processed, when in fact at that point, Mr. Hoffman had never filed the appeal. That was my personal experience with John Hoffman State Farm. I expect much more from an insurance agent that profits from my premiums.

I’ve been a customer of State Farm for decades and all they keep doing is boosting their prices. Now they hiked up my home owner insurance because they way over appraised my house. Looking for a new company ASAP!
