Extremely rude staff. I could barely understand what they were saying. Nepotism is illegal. Prove me wrong that these women got their jobs in this matter. It should be investigated. Very dystopian. Usually go to Bowman field as it is less than 1 mile from my apartment. Was told the wait time was going to be over 2 hours and guaranteed the location by Hurstbourne was half the wait. Drove all the way out there and still waited about 2 hours. Could never imagine Louisville government getting anything right. Horribly ran and mismanaged for 30 years at least. Black and white photo they can't even produce on site. They even misspelled my name. They didn't want to take cash. I know they get a fee for you using a card. What a joke.

Tried to go in and renew a motorcycle instruction permit that had been expired for 7 months as I have a skills test the next week. Lady named Usha would not renew it has she claimed she could not since it was over 6 months expired. This is not the case as per Kentucky State Police, talked to a nice lady in Frankfort who had clarified it was a year after expiration and you’ll need a new permit. Usha also had thought that skills tests are no longer a thing and permit is not needed. These people need better training but it’s the government so you can’t expect much from them.

The Leesgate Road location took care of my need to replace a lost driver's license. I was out the door 5 minutes after I walked in. A refreshing change from past experiences at the Bowman Field office.

The lady at the reception is very unpleasant...she was half resistant, I would say, besides being Indian or something similar...however, the lady who served us at the table was a very friendly and cordial American lady and we managed to resolve everything. Very grateful to her. in particular.

Very helping staff especially Indian girls at front and security officer we thought it take time but it was very quick and inside the other Indian girl take pic haneefa very great knowledgable I am glad that we came here thanks a billion

They are not very accommodating if you mention you will pay with cash. Immediately their first response is "It will take longer, why don't you pay with a card?" It's a lie of course, because there were plenty of people still there after I left who had told them they were going to pay with a card.

Just came here today for a renewal for the very first time in my life because I found this location close to my home but I normally go out to Bowman field but any who if you have a appointment or a walk-in please be prepared to stay all day long no matter how early you get there! I Arrived right after 8:00am when they opened and both the walk-in line and appointment line was extremely long! Your left waiting outside for a long time if you don't have a appointment and they only let so many people in at once and your still standing outside waiting even longer! It was a woman who came with her disabled mom on a walker cutting everybody in line just because her mom had to pee so bad and that was extremely rude of the daughter she was telling everyone to move out of her way so her mom could make it to a restroom that was unavailable and the place just lets them have a seat in the building even though they was allowed to cut the whole line just ridiculous! They don't issue actual ID cards here they take your picture and give you a printed copy of your temporary license or learner's permit id card that will be mailed to you within 10 to 15 business days! They only have one person checking in everyone at a front desk which is why the lines take forever! When I was finally called three and a half hours later the lady who issued me my temporary paper card asked me why I haven't taken my road test yet? Because I'm not ready to take a road test yet and that was really none of her business to ask that! Her job is just to issue temporary Id cards not ask about someone's reason for not taking a road test! They need to move this location to a bigger space the building is way to small for large crowds of people and if it's like this everyday OMG what a circus ? I'll go back to Bowman field never again at this location

I had an appointment to get my Real ID. I read horrible things online and was worried even with an appointment it might be a terrible experience. Once I figured out the long line outside was for walk-ins, I went in, had my documents looked over, was checked in, waited about 10 minutes to be called back, and was out the door in another 15 minutes. Everyone encountered was pleasant and the experience was a good one. Make sure you have the required documents.
