Eta2: We didn’t even have this dog in November of 2023!!! So how could he have filled out paper and enrolled her then? Another mix up you just admitted to..? Please people, please, use caution with this vet!!
ETA: This is in reply to the vet’s response.
My husband was not and has never been the account owner at your clinic. I am and have been. I find it highly suspect that the account, after all the mistakes made today, was mysteriously switched to his name. Especially after our dog’s records were placed under someone else’s information entirely. Second there was no “yelling.” If it makes you feel better to lie and accuse me because I posted an honest account of what you did today, that just further shows the kind of reason why someone shouldn’t use your office. My dog was NOT brought in for a wellness exam. She was brought in for diarrhea and to obtain flea and tick medication. She just had a check up at her previous vet in April. Which you had the records for at the appt today. He was told you were not able to legally take our word for the shot records. Even though none of them are required by law except rabies. Which you had proof of in the office, had you not misplaced it. Your office was informed of the situation prior to the appt with my husband and the choices made to do what BEFORE the appt. You should be ashamed that you are robbing innocent people of their hard earned money. As a military spouse you should be doubly ashamed to do that to a fellow Veteran.
Do not take your pets to this office!! They make mistakes and expect you to pay for it. They didn’t take notes on her care. Misplaced her shot records (filed them under the wrong name). Gave her all new vaccines that she had just had. Then ended up charging us $250. The office manager laughed at me and told me “if you don’t like it, find a new vet.” Dr Ervin herself, told me the receptionist denied all of the communication prior to the visit. I explained specifically to a T what we needed done and why. I confirmed the day after to make sure they were aware of our situation. Of my spouses situation (he is medically retired and has memory problems among other brain related issues. He is still fully able to do normal things. However, money or critical decisions need more care). Our dog was a rescue. She came from a foster through a shelter. They do not release dogs without them being vetted. She is over a year old. She has had all shots. Even the not required shots. Now she has had them twice. They will not take any accountability for their mistakes. So now we are out $250 for what should have been $100 appt. Their reasoning is they legally can’t just take our word for it that she has been vaccinated. Which is fine on the rabies shot. Which they had proof of being done in April. But still gave her another dose of!! They are claiming they didn’t have any information prior to the appt. Which is a FLAT OUT lie. I went over everything. I emailed the last vet paperwork from the shelter/foster myself. The receptionist dropped the ball. They made my spouse think we were doing something wrong by not redoing all the vaccines because he didn’t have paperwork to prove it. Who adopts a shelter dog and gets proof of vaccines they received before they were surrender? We verified verbally that she had them done. I then verified verbally with the office prior to the appointment that they had been done. Then they told my husband “we cannot legally take your word for that.” Which made him think he had to have all the shots re-done.
If I told this office my dog was allergic to latex, and made sure to verify before the appt, and they used latex on her, they’d be responsible. But because it won’t kill her, they won’t take responsibility for their mess ups. Who knows what having all these vaccines redone in such a short time will do to her.
This should have been handled better, by the receptionist, the doctor, and the office manager. So disappointed!

Taking Miss Mimi to the vet after a run-in with a hornets nest. They patched her up and she is doing better now.

First visit and this will be my go to vet. Not only were they timely, the staff apologized they were running behind. In reality they were very much so on time to me. My dog loved them and everything was explain. They took time when I asked questions and I didn't feel rushed at all.

I’m very thankful I brought my golden retriever to Dr. Ervin for a 2nd opinion. Though her opinion didn’t differ, I’ve been bringing my dog there since. Every single person in the office has always been very friendly to me each time I go in there. Dr. Ervin calls me with results and is very patient with all my [tedious] questions, I’ve never felt rushed. I haven’t got the best news regarding my dog, but she’s been compassionate with me and explained every single step to me. I’ve only been taking my dog there for a couple weeks but have talked to a friend currently wanting to find a more affordable veterinarian and I highly recommend Dr. Ervin and her staff.

Westuck is so beyond wonderful. I brought my pet here for a cremation, and they were so polite and sincere. I didn't make any fancy requests, but they made me imprints of my pet's footprints and even a framed death certificate. It meant so much to me to see those after receiving my pet's remains. They even had it all put together in a lovely bag for me. Here's hoping I don't have to return for another cremation soon, but when I have need I'll know exactly who to go to. These guys made my grieving process so much easier, and I cannot thank them enough.

2024 UPDATE:Dr Ivin and all the staff at West Kentucky Veterinary Hospital were amazing! They took such good care of us and KD during her last hour of life. They took their time explaining everything that might happen. They gave her cookies, chocolate doughnuts, and snickers bars (all the chocolate treats shes never had) which she happily gobbled up. They sedated her before putting in her IV bc she her anxiety would never have let them do that. Her heart was strong and held on for longer than I expected but she had started having seizures last week bc the dementia was getting so bad.Im having her cremated but they also gave us a vile of her fur. They let us stay with her the whole time and as long as we needed after she was gone. I couldnt have asked for better, more love, and professional care.2012ive been taking my animals here for over 12 yrs. the staff and drs are very friendly and knowledgable. one dog has hip displasia n allergies. another had heart failure n pulminary edema. they work w me on pymnts n allowing me alturnatives to buying their meds. my animals love them.

I love this place. All the staff treat their customers with kindness and treat your pets like family. My older fur baby was suffering a large lump on his face and we had been to several vets which could not figure out the issue, but once we found this caring staff they not only figured out what the issue was, but also got us to a pet dentist to have it resolved so that I didn't lose my baby. The best part is they helped see me through the situation from start to finish. I drive 2 hours to this place one way, but well worth it and have found my lifelong vet. Thank you for all you do in taking care of all my fur babies and loving them as much as I do.
