It's a humbling experience knowing where Abraham Lincoln grew up and how he rose to be one of the greatest president of the United States of America. There's an eery feeling waking on the very same land where he might have helped his family grow plants in the farm. The land was unchanged and there's a small cabin representing how they might have lived back in the day.

If you like history or learning about Lincoln this is a good stop. It is a nice size where even if you take your time it does not take long. You do get to learn about his history and see some artifacts.

The museum is awesome! My kids and I had a great time. There were lots of amazing books of all kinds in the gift shop entrance that we all about Abraham. The exhibit itself was cool. There's an upstairs with all kinds of cool art and period pieces and different facts about Abraham. We did this museum as a homeschool history day. It's perfect for school or any history lover.

Huge history buff, my wife and I were on our honeymoon and this is the location I picked, we got there and they were closing shop they let us look around an extra 20 minutes because we drove 2 1/2 hours. Helpful and gave us a map of things from Lincoln's life in the area, got a few gifts. I was so interested in what was inside we went back our final day in the state and was worth it I was like a kid in a candy shop. Spent over an hour inside. My wife not a big history person seen how awesome it was and now is ready for more history so I would recommend this place. The gift shop is a great touch overall amazing experience.

A terrific part of a Lincoln day trip to Hodgenville. The staff member who welcomed us was delightful and knowledgeable. Lots of Lincoln-centric displays and information. Truly an homage to the idea of the local history museum.
