Long read....but worth it...
Where do I begin....dealing with this place and the vehicle they sold me has made me lose all faith in humanity. My fiancee and I went to butler's because we saw a 2016 Ford Expedition Platinum on the lot. It was gorgeous. Fully loaded. We stopped and looked at it, drove it, talked to the salesman about it....everything. We went home and thought it over. The following Monday, we returned with all intentions on purchasing. We drove it again, this time longer than the first. Fast forward, here we are in the store, handing over 75% of the cost of the vehicle, IN CASH, to these guys for the expedition. We leave and drive from Henderson to Owensboro, then to Madisonville. 71 miles total. I go to start it the next morning and it is a whole issue. Smoking, knocking, real bad. I call the store, they kind of led me around and what not and ask me to bring it to them. So I took it to Ford and had them diagnose. Needs new engine. Bad turbos. Along with 17 other codes. WHAT. So we have it towed to Henderson to Joe's "mechanic" where it sat for the NEXT 7 MONTHS. "Mechanic (Chris)" really gave me the run around. It was this and that and never the engine. Anyway, after 7 whole months of him talking to me like I am an idiot of a female, I went and got my vehicle and brought it home. Mr. Butler and I spoke SEVERAL times over this matter. I was told he cannot help us because he would lose money on an auction truck. WHAT!!!!! I literally just handed this man every penny we saved for something he and/or his employees deliberately withheld and covered up mechanical issues on...but I bought it "as is". Then it went to he will pay half of the cost of engine replacement at any mechanic of my choosing. 14 months, $13k in mechanic bills, $1k in tow bills, plus the $21k we paid for this vehicle, 2 formal letters requesting he hold up on his word and pay 1/2 the cost of the replacement.....I now have a new engine ON MY OWN DIME, but am slowly working on ALL THE OTHER issues wrong with this truck. I bought it for my children and myself to have a nice vehicle to enjoy. This has been nothing but a fight and let down after let down from people who SEEMED honest and kind, and who assured me this would be handled. I guess that is why con artists are so good. I have never been so blown off, belittled, and treated like I do not matter in my life! In this life, if you don't have your word, you have nothing. I was told all these things with 100% knowledge that they would never stand behind any of it.
*All claims I have stated above are substantiated. I have screenshots, bills, phone calls, every kind of documentation that I NEED to prove anything stated above.
**EDITED TO ADD -JULY 2024--I finally received a response letter. In it, Mr. Butler wrote "take the "slander" down on the review and I will pay you your money." No, Mr. Butler, you won't. You have had a year and a half to reimburse me and have not. Only when it makes you look bad do you respond...I will not remove my review, and none of this is slander. I HAVE RECEIPTS AND PROOF OF EVERYTHING! :)

I went there and bought a 2005 ford Taurus paid 3500 for it and a week later got stranded on the highway with my 3 kids car started over heating and engine was shaking went to a mechanic that butlers goes threw for there customers and was told it had a blown head gasket before I even drove it off the lot and he couldn’t understand why I was sold it in the first place went to Joe to see if we could figure something out because I felt like I got robbed of my money at first he did not want to help at all then Joe said he would swap us a car in the budget then it went from that to him saying he could lease to us didn’t have a choice at the time so we leased it then what do you know a week later it started over heating called butlers and was told that they weren’t gonna fix it all the hoses needed replaced car could barley go 10 minutes up the street finally Joe said if I brought the car down he would fix it I did that and he fixed nothing but fans and that he was talking about doing before we leased it wasted our time long story short this place should be shut down it is a joke Joe and his crew will sell u a lemon and just don’t care they take advantage of others and to do this stuff to people especially with kids is awful I would just warn people so nobody ends up in that situation like we did

My teenage boy finally saved for his first Car. After finding what he wanted online At butler's we did some calling and went to Kentucky to see it. Noticed paint damage and different kinds of tires on rim's was hidden in the pictures online. But I guess it's used. Right? they told us it was a nice car just had a few miles. They Wasn't worried about talking about the Price just gave us directions to bank before it closed. Needless to say in the end the car has sat in drive way needing a timing chain since 3 days after buying.02/17/2023. It Left him in Middle of busy highway having to push it himself. Also Key fob has never worked. Hes Still making payments like he was supposed to. Plus getting ready for pricey repairs. I blame myself. Make sure you visit your mechanic and get a full diagnostic test on anything you considered buying. Like I'm sure they did for themselves when they bought son's car cheap. Whether be intentional or not They fail to give you costly fact's but tell you how honest they are "And can't stay in buisness by cheating customers " . Definitely just a VERY USED car lot and another hard lesson.
