Everyone was very kind and helpful (yielding the second star), but a very unfortunate experience.1) It took about 90 minutes to receive our car. After checking me in and taking my money (credit card), I was told a 10-20 minute wait. After 60 minutes we were told our car was ready and sent upstairs, only for no car to be there, and to be sent to another upstairs line (with all the same people in it) to wait another 30 minutes. If they had been honest about the wait, I could have used our backup reservation with a company that had our car ready. The extra nearly two total hours messed up our toddlers' sleep schedules and unfortunately was likely the cause of an unenjoyable trip.2) Upon return, with no one present to check in, our invoice showed an extra $70 for fuel and taxes, even though I returned the car full. Opening a ticket with Dollar's website as instructed received no response. It was only after speaking with Twitter's team that I received the promise of reimbursement.

The old lady on the room in the second floor at 9 am on 10/25 /2023 was rude and don’t know what she doing , she don’t like her job ,we ask her equation's and ever answer it. She said I don’t know , She insisted to give us a chavy equinox and we don’t want to ask her any thing else, because we know he will make it hard on us , don’t like the service , she insist to give us this car and raised the price , never ever tried it again . I got the car from CVG AIRPORT, please take Action with this situation and talk with her, we are customers and we always our company rent a vehicles from you , I will speak with my Bery manager to not get any vehicles from you anymore , we spend $354 only for 2 dat we got the car wenday morning at 9 return on Thursday next day at 5 pm . very bad experience with this lady on the front of the company.

The old lady was bad , she was rude and she didn’t know what she’s doing , never try to get car rental for dollar and was not respect us , so expansive , he not even try to help , very bad experience , get the car on 10/25/2023 at 8 :15 am , at CVG AIRPORT

I rent a car from dollar rent a car in CVG airport.I was informed the car I reserved is not available and also I had some misunderstanding issue about the charge .I request to talk to the supervisor ,his name was Mason and when I ask him to give me same car size as the one I reserved .He used the F word and when I had objection for his language he continue yelling and using same language .I totally don’t understand how he got this position and I hope this company will take care of this big problem before hurting another Peale .

The waiting line was not super long, but employees were very slow. The same employees serve Dollar and Hertz, with Hertz priority. I spent 45 minutes in the line. The car was ready in time, and it was good and clean. No problems with the car during my 5 days rental period. Return was quick and nice. No any hidden fees were applied to my bill.

I got to the counter 2 hours before I was suppose to pick up the car, I was charge $8.99 per hour for the 2 hours I was early. I was not even told that I was being charged I just read it in my emailed receipt. I brought the car back two days later and it was perfectly fine with no dents, marks and no visible signs of anything bad. Two days later i received an email saying I brought the car back with a huge crack in the windshield, omg I am so upset. I r=tried to contact the persons that send the email to ask what's going on but I have yet to get a reply.

This place is a rip off reserved a rental Nov 25 for 141.47 to pick up for Dec 10. The itinerary said due now is 0.00 and $141.47 due at pick-up. Also I had until Dec 10 at pick up to add insurance for a total of $39. After we get the rental I see the lady at the counter charged me 262.07 I asked why the bill is more she said it's an estimate when I return rental I would be charged the correct price. Well I returned rental still was charged 262.07. Spoke with dollar on Dec 13 rep Jay said I will be refunded and a updated and original receipt will be w ail. We'll here it is Dec 16 and I haven't received anything. Called dollar again now rep telling me prices went up since from when I reserved my rental. Whats tge point of a reservation if prices not gone be honored but they have the right person none of this was in writing and my family attorney is planning to make a claim.

This place is an absolute ripoff. We had to evacuate d/t hurricane Ian and drive home to return the CAR 3 days EALRY. They charged us over 300 dollars extra for returning the car EARLY! This company is unethical, and deserves to be shut down. We will never rent from them again and I will do everything in my power to ensure no one else does either.

Worst rental experience ever. The guy John, behind the counter was rude, and offensive to myself on the phone and my fiancé in person. They tried to give her a dirty car first, that straight up smelled like weed. It was obviously dirty as there were ashes in the ashtray and all over the floor and seats. Lot attendant didn’t care that we had a problem, so we had to go deal with John the rude guy again. Who wanted to charge us extra “for changing our reservation” even though it was their dirty car. The next car they gave us only had a quarter of a tank of gas in it, when we mentioned it John got annoyed, said he’d fix it in the contract…never did. Tried to charge us $10.20 a gallon, more than triple gas station rates, when we brought it back not full, we brought it back exactly as it was. Then the customer service in trying to get all this resolved was and continues to be a joke. Two weeks worth of “please have patience we answer messages in the order they come in”….more than 15 days trying to get refunded. And no answer. DO NOT RENT HERE.

First of all, DO NOT go to where the booking/confirmation email tells you (3286 Loomis Rd). The correct address for GPS 3057 Terminal Dr, Hebron, KY 41048! They really should make the address to go to more clear, so I went to a weird dead-end address right off the bat due to a very vague confirmation/manage booking email from Rentalcars.com. You have to go INTO the airport to the rental car area to get your car!The name Dollar Car Rental should be taken into account when booking! It's a budget rental service, so don't expect white-glove service!Pros:-Easy to get a hold of someone via the 1800 number. Surprisingly somebody answered quickly and was able to tell me where to go since the email confirmation had very vague information on where to actually go.-It IS very cheap. A standard economy two-day rental, which included me dropping off the car in another state, cost me less than 100 bucks!-They don't push their insurance down your throat and surprisingly, the rate I was quoted online using a 3rd party comparison site (Rentalcars.com), was the price I paid. It's sad that this is how our expectations have been degraded in this day of lack luster customer service!-Somewhat straightforward. Expect to pay the price quoted PLUS a deposit of roughly $200 for a credit card and $500 for a debit card (this requires very limited criteria, don't expect to be able to use one! I didn't qualify. This is industry-standard however. At the time of this review I have not returned my car so hopefully it's returned without incident. I'll update!-Re-fueling options include pre-pay, and market-price lock-in rates ($5.55 as of 7/4) , or fill up yourself upon return-The car I received from the basic economy was a very basic, stripped-down, featureless Chevy Spark. It was clean and issue free, so no complaints.Cons-I happened to luck out with my wait time. I walked in between flights and was the only one at the counter. Unfortunately, the lady was very new or not properly trained and the check-in process was extremely slow. From walk-up to leaving with my keys took roughly 30/40 minutes and she had to re-do the process 3/4 times. I believe she was putting in the wrong 4 digits of my card over and over again. I don't blame her, I blame lack of management/staffing issues. She was apologetic for the delay, but the line growing behind me wasn't a fan. I wouldn't have been so happy if I was waiting!-Finding the car is very confusing. You get the information, then go upstairs and wander around until you find the number. The lady didn't really explain how you find your car except to go upstairs and it'll be waiting. I spent about an additional 15 minutes looking for my car, turns out she wrong the number down wrong. Somebody wearing a green vest eventually asked me if I needed help. I have no idea if he worked for CVG Airport or the car rental. It was nice for him to ask, but he wasn't very helpful!-Check the tires! My tire pressure was super inconsistent and all over the place. One tire was 56, the others low 50s, and one was 34 PSI. Uneven tires = cars that don't want to go straight!Verdict: Very cheap, somewhat straightforward with pricing and policies, and gets the job done. Expect additional wait times and poorly trained employees/little help. If you want excellent service, pay the extra money and go with a bigger name agency!

My wallet fell out of purse accidentally before I returned my rental. I noticed within 30 minutes and went straight back to get it. In that time an employee stole money out of my wallet. When I talked to the Manger she told me none of her employees would do that. Basically then said I was lying about the cash being stolen. Called the airport police made a report. They found the guy that works for Dollar rental on camera stealing it out of my wallet and he was arrested. Management was not willing to help with situation. I will never rent from them again.

You can definitely tell these are Thrifty leftovers. Driver side car door didn't lock automatically all the way. When you do manually lock it you need to unlock from the passenger side to get in. Sucks, especially if you are alone and its late.. Also forget what you paid up front to reserve (if you booked on a travel site), they hit you with another $275 when you pick up the vehicle. (you do get the $200 back eventually, not the $75) Lastly if you book on expedia, don't get their insurance. Dollar said it's worthless and they hit you with their insurance when u pick up the vehicle. Thumbs down .... ? Nissan Rogue....no bueno ~ Dollar CVG

After this experience with Enterprise (again) I'm going to start using Dollar. They saved my trip to visit my mother. I just want to thank the lady at the counter for helping me through this trip. She was professional and very understanding of my predicament. God bless and thanks again for saving the day it is very much appreciated and won't be forgotten.
