This historic inn is lovely. The breakfast is outstanding and the rooms are comfortable. I enjoy history, so this place was right up my alley. Parking is free and wifi is included. The only reason I rated this stay as "very good" as opposed to "excellent" was the front desk staff. I am sure my experience wasn't the norm, but my reservation booked six months prior was lost as was another room in our party. Luckily, I had called back when I didn't receive a confirmation email, but the other party did receive an email and their room was still not showing up. So I rebooked it for them on my credit card. Due to traffic, I was racing to get to a family event upon arrival and didn't notice my old credit card was holding my room (as in my mind I had just given them the correct card number the night before). My fault, but the main issue was when they called me about it (since no one was on desk when I left early in the morning, even after waiting the 10 minutes the sign said to wait) and I gave the correct number, the lady at the desk said, snarkily in my opinion, that this is why they ask about the cc upon check in. I had already apologized, so I don't know why she had an attitude about it. But, as I said, other than the front desk losing reservations and then the not so nice phone call afterwards, I did enjoy my staff. The breakfast staff was delightful.

We had an excellent stay at the Beaumont Inn. The Inn was centrally located when touring the Bourbon Trail. The staff is courteous and helpful. The facility is clean and our room was nicely appointed. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was beautifully updated. We had no intention of eating all of our dinners (3) at the Owl’s Nest Tavern, but enjoyed the food and beverages so much the first night, we also had dinner there the other two evenings! We liked sitting on the front porch in he evening and also walking through the neighborhood in the morning. The breakfast is very good, but some of our food was warm, not hot. We had that issue all three mornings. That’s the only suggestion I would make.

We had a group of four couples stay at the Beaumont Inn in Harrodsburg, Kentucky this past weekend. The Inn and staff were outstanding and all went out of their way to make all of us all feel very special. The Inn is a Kentucky Treasure and its history has hosted many celebrities including a former President. It’s an elegant southern mansion and Inn with a wonderful and friendly staff who are examples of true southern hospitality. The Tavern and the Owl’s Nest food and staff made out weekend. A southern culinary treat with a modern flair. The deserts especially the traditional Kentucky Bread Pudding was wonderful. We felt like we walked back in time. The Beaumont Inn is a place where the experience, food and staff bring you back again and again. This was our third visit with many more in the future.

I have already reviewed room 6 of the Greystone Building. Someone asked me if there was a shower and I am trying to attach a picture of the bathroom so they can see the shower. I hope this helps. Happy traveling!

Such a beautiful hotel. They preservation of the property is on point. Spent our honeymoon here. Great food and such an amazing property. Would be a lovely spot for a wedding. Visited the shaker village near by and had a wonderful time. Can’t wait to come back.

Was staying at Shakertown, but went to Beaumont because I heard you could taste a flight of bourbons. Decent enough greeting at the door, not exactly friendly, but okay. I've traveled all through Europe alone, and always was treated like family when I sat at the bar to eat. The woman tending bar hardly looked at me, and I had to start the interchange myself. When I asked about a fligylt, she threw a pieces of paper at me with choices of bourbon. They didn't have several of my choices, and she offered no assistance whatsoever . I got my flight, and a couple came in and sat beside me--these she greeted and offered menus, which she didn't do for me. I got her attention and ordered the cheese ad ham olate(I had looked at the website.) It arrived, (way heavy on the cheese, and only with light flat crackers--would have been much better with real bread. ). I asked for my check finally and left--the bar tender never did speak one word to me. I won't be back. There are much better options, especially at Shakertown, where my service has been warm and friendly fir every meal. .

My wife and I had been wanting to visit the Kentucky Bourbon Trail for some time, so we decided to spend half our time in the country. We could not have made a better choice with the Beaumont Inn. It has everything. All the charm of a 1800's B&B, excellent staff, great food, and a well stocked bar. We were also able to book a bourbon tasting with the inn keeper. That was much more informative and entertaining than the ones we did at some distilleries. What was probably the best part was just spending time sitting on the front porch and enjoying the quiet.

We love the Beaumont Inn and have gone there many times. We're currently trying to contact them for a gift card for a friend for a several night stay. No one is answering the phones during regular business hours and after their April 1 re-open date. You can't leave a message and their "buy a gift card" link takes you to any number of merchandise, but not a gift card. Sooooo frustrated. What's up Dedmans???

Ham is 2 years old and tastes like gasoline. Ruins chicken if it touches ham. You can't order chicken without also getting nasty stinky HAM. Fried chicken is small pieces but very juicy and good. Whipped potatoes are excellent. Gravy is excellent but no roll or biscuit to go with it. They offered a bread plate but all bread was toasted to concrete texture. Green beans, slaw and salads are small portions but taste good. Catfish is good but triple thick breading make it too crunchy and can't find fish.

Great, historic Inn in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Well furnished with vintage pieces and historical charm. Nice room, very clean, comfortable. Food at the Nest/Tavern is excellent and the bread pudding with bourbon sauce is the best!!! Also a nice place for staying for distillery tours and sightseeing.

I had heard about the Beaumont Inn for years from older relatives who went there to celebrate Thanksgiving several years running. So a trip to the Kentucky Bourbon Trail was a great excuse to stay there. I was VERY surprised with the reasonable rate for a Sunday stay. Our room was delightful. The bed was VERY comfortable. It had a wonderful duvet comforter on it. I'm not a HUGE fan of duvets, but it was comfortable as were the pile of pillows. The bathroom was very pleasant and nicely updated. Not tremendously modern, but the tub was a TRUE soaking tub. Beautiful Christmas decorations. We had a lovely breakfast the next morning very attentively served by the wait staff. The only disappointment was that we could not have dinner the one night we stayed because they do not serve on Sunday.

The Inn is fairly centrally located if you want to visit the distilleries in KY. It is a really nice B&B with a lot of history. The staff is wonderful and you could sit in the parlor for hours just watching the fire in cold weather. Ann and Crystal in the Main Dining Room are awesome and the food is the type of Southern cooking you are looking for. Make sure you spend some time in the Owl's Nest with Nathan. You will enjoy the conversation as much as the bourbon selection.

When you stay at an old, historic place you definitely don't expect the same experience as at a new chain hotel. That being said, this place was a super cool starting point for our bourbon travels. The Inn oozed history. The mattress and bedding were up to date and comfy. The bathrooms were a little uneven, one great and one leaky. The meal and liquor experience at the Tavern were excellent and many locals were enjoying a weeknight dinner on the off season. The full breakfast had quite a few choices and was quite nice. We did a bourbon tasting with Dixon Dedman that was the high point of our experience. Staying in Harrodsburg definitely added color to our souther trip!

Beautiful Surroundings, elegant meals, and the private tasting with Dixon really made our visit special! Elegant updated bathrooms and large rooms. The only complaint I have is the minor musty smell in the large gathering room where early coffee was served. The elevator was original and small but very quaint and worked perfectly. I would recommend if you have mobility issues to stay on the main floor.
