Produce is rotten, meat dept is the worse I've seen in a long time. Got a roll of sausage(in date) cut it open the next day, just about knock you out the rancid smell was aweful. Close to home worth the drive to food lion or Phillps IGA.

Clean and very well taken care of. They have numerous options on kool-aid that others don't. Always great to stop and pick things up quick on the way home

I'm really looking forward to the upgraded frozen foods section!! It's been the main reason I have to go over to the Burkesville IGA to find some things.

The store was incredibly slow and a pleasant shopping experience. I was disappointed to find out that they don't have instant potatoes. They did however have instant flavored potatoes.

Sell the best chocolate milk I've ever had! And White milk 2.69 a gallon. For months! They know and keep milk cheap so people can afford to buy milk for kids anybody that need it! That's more than I've seen any place Else do! I grew up with a houchens behind our house! Walked everyday and the best grocery store! Treated us like family and remembered your name!

Very expensive. I stopped going there because of that. They're the closest to my house but I've learned to spend the extra gas and go to SaveAlot because it saves alot of money to drive across town, like several dollars per item. The biggest thing is they DO NOT update their signage and their prices are always wrong. Something will be marked a few dollars off, but will still ring up full price at the register.I used to spend a couple hundred dollars a month there but I stopped about two months ago. On my last visit, I bought three items and two rang up higher at the register than marked on the shelf. I paid the $2 difference and never went back. After 8 years of going there, and continuously having the same problem, enough is enough. No matter how many times customers tell them the behavior continues, no one either fixes the signs or updates the register. If you're spending a couple hundred dollars in there, Houchens IGA is getting an extra $20 or so off you that you didn't intend to spend because their signs on their products are misleading. I honestly think they're doing it on purpose to make extra money. And you know, "inflation." More like "greed-flation."SaveAlot's prices are more fair and their signs are hardly ever wrong and things ring up at SaveAlot as advertised. I recommend you save yourself some money- and time arguing about what the sign says- and go to SaveAlot.
