The shelter helped get our sweet little dog Spike back home when he decided to go on a solo adventure across town. Sherry is so responsive. Her passion for doing the best for animals really shows and she has transformed this organization.

Typical government agency. Always searching for employees. Blocked me from their Facebook page. Call each other "officers" LOL. Paperwork and 40.00 is what you can expect if someone steals your pet and drops her off here.

I adopted my dog here so long ago, he recently passed away from cancer and a neurological disorder (old age). We had Phoenix Jackson for 15 years, and I want to thank this organization for giving him a second chance! We had an amazing life together. We adventured all over the world, backpacking, kayaking, hiking, road tripping, and living in multiple countries across the globe. He had so many friends! He was incredibly loyal, like a son. He was everything to me! From the first day to his last, he gave us 100%, and I loved him more than life itself. Thank you! Keep up the good work, making the world a better place for us all. I wish you all the best.

Scott County Animal Shelter has completely shocked me with how great they are. I had a stray cat with an injured leg walk into my garage, which I rushed to the vet. After paying $300 dollars for some X-rays and pain medications the vet told me the cat needed it’s leg surgically amputated. The shelter took the stray cat in and are getting the surgery performed, they were super nice and helpful when I called them and didn’t know what to do with this stray. They have gone above and beyond what I ever expected. I honestly couldn’t ask for more from them.

I want to take a minute to brag on the Scott County Animal Shelter. For starters it is the CLEANEST Animal shelter that I have ever been in. And you are welcomed from the moment you open the front door. But this wonderful group of people made my broken hearted mother happy again. She has been so sad since her last dog passed away of old age Three years ago. So you all made her so so happy by helping us with the adoption of that little dog. And that means the world to me!So, If you are interested in adopting a pet this place will take care of you. ???

I don't have anything but pure respect and appreciation for all their help. From my online "I'm interested in logan" till my car door closed with Logan by my side. They answered my email almost immediately. Took every phone call I made to them <none of the I will get back with you> they were the only ones who actually did. So thank you ALL for everything and for all your hard work!!

The employees here are awesome! Very helpful & the dogs loved it when we came to play with them! There's a nice yard to take the dogs to so they can get some exercise too! We will be back!

Recieved a neighbor complaint regarding our puppy via a visit from animal control officers today. The control officers were so kind and gracious in addressing the concern/complaint and I really appreciated the way they handled it.

Insane! Katie Moreland, continued to get rude then hung up on me. I've taken pictures, and sent everything to my attorney. A joke!

I like the shelter and the people there are nice but on their facebook page or Instagram I never seen anything other than dogs being posted in the shelter or that are up for adoption, like why do I have to go to the website to see anything about your cats or your other animals you have. I think you they should post more about the other animals than just dogs. They are important too.

Been in there alot and some of the staff are rude, not helpful or even trying to adopt out the pets there, although I will say there is a few younger girls that are very nice. I still dont get why they charge so much for an animal when you can go to the humane society and get one for way cheaper, especially because you know they are just going to put down the animals that dont get adopted. Kind of mad my family and I very upset. 110 for a dog over a yr..... more then that for a puppy.... cats are expensive also smh
