The distiller/guide was a super nice guy who really knows his stuff. This is a very small craft distillery producing some good bond bourbon and small batch. If you don’t know the difference it’s okay. He will tell you. The tour is not very expensive and comes with 4 samples. I recommend if you are driving by. Not to mention the downtown of Franklin,KY is right near by and worth and drive through.P.S - I didn’t share photos of the inside so you can see it yourself.

Not fancy, but if you are lucky the master distiller will be behind the counter. Bourbon barrel gin. Is worth the trip

Been to many bourbon tours and none have been quite as unique and personal as this one. Can’t recommend this place enough! Toured with the assistant distiller and he was such a joy to listen to! Got to look into the mash tank as it fermented, dip our finger into the alcohol as it distilled, and see every single step of this process like never before! Most places never let you get as in depth and up close with their equipment. The amazing bourbon is just the cherry on top. If you’re looking for an amazing experience with one of the most locally based, home-grown distilleries, then Dueling Grounds is for you. 100% worth the drive.

We took the distillery tour and learned so much from our passionate guide Robbie. The tour concludes with a tasting of craft bourbon straight, in cocktails, or as liqueurs. It’s a great stop and on the official Kentucky Bourbon Trail. (Don’t be hungover like we were, and you’ll enjoy it even more!) Delicious. Craft. Local.

I like a place that seems like a place people can just stop into anytime. They serve food and cocktails as well as doing tours and tastings. Cute little place and good bourbon! Stop in if you're nearby! It's the southernmost stop on the Kentucky bourbon trail.

We stopped here for the night as they participate in Harvest Host campers association. We stayed overnight in their parking lot on our way home, and spent time inside.I’ve been to dozens of distilleries and this tour is one of the best! The barkeeper and the master distiller were wonderful hosts. Don’t pass up this gem.

The distiller was nice who gave us the tour, and the whiskey was tasty, but the tasting presentation and the way it was hosted was really lackluster. I love the brand but don’t care to come back here again.

Did the tour and tried a few tasters. Went with a group that doesn't drink bourbon but they all had a good time as well.

**Update: I reached out to them and they refunded us our money. Thanks Marc! We'll definitely be back!!!While the product was fantastic the overall experience was bittersweet. We had bought 2 souvenir bottles of alcohol to bring home(worth$100). Only to find out I could not bring them on my carry on. As we didn't have any luggage to be checked we had to leave them behind with some lucky locals. You have now been warned! Because I was told something else by the Staff.???

Ventured out & went there for Oktoberfest, big mistake. No seating outside where the performance was going on & im not sure if he was the owner or what, but the guy with dark hair in i believe a ponytail was not friendly when my husband went to order a drink. He already has social anxiety & the man seemed like he was being nice to everyone else, but when my husband went up he was rude and uninviting. It was our first time there & we drove an hour to go. Will not be back ??♀️
