I’m very disappointed in Life House or I should say Beth and Dawn! Last July I not only adopted Jesse no more than I paid a $250 deposit rent fee Dawn Text me as I get in my truck to come and pick up Jesse that he has already been adopted that I already paid for I also sponsored two other dogs, Elsa and Jack today my daughter Timi Hope Hughes reached out to Beth and asked for help on a stray cat that is pregnant. She has also three senior cats that she vets weekly due to health issues that she adopted from Life House five years ago my oldest daughter Tamara also adopted two cats from Life House as well as I adopted three cats from Life House never have we gotten this kind of treatment .
Beth straight up told my daughter today that she might as well go to the Humane Society and let them euthanize this poor little stray cat that is pregnant. Talk down to my daughter disrespected my daughter in no way shape or form did Beth have a kind attitude at all whatsoever. Dawn never offered me a refund on Jesse although I did sponsor to other dogs. She just said oh well I’m sorry we just adopted Jesse out knowing that I was going to pay rent fee for Jesse. Life House is just not what it used to be. It was never a kill shelter, but for one of the staff Beth to tell my daughter to go have one put down, tells me otherwise the fact is we miss the days when Betty was in charge! These things would’ve never happened if Betty was still running the show at Life House! Betty respects her clients but Beth nor Dawn has no respect for the people or their money! Much less the lil fur baby’s they claim to care about so much!
This absolutely breaks my heart and I’ll never recommend LIFE House for Animals again!!
Obviously you ppl are just as greedy as the next one and don’t want the ppl to know exactly what kind of ppl that are working there now!
Y’all got me for almost 500$ but I WILL get the word out exactly how your adopters are being treated! If you’re going to block me on Facebook why on earth would you still send me links to donate? Y’all are unbelievable fr!
You can block me from Facebook but my review stands!!!
Betty, where have you gotten anything in writing of anything?
Secondly Dawn kept pushing Elsa on me knowing she did not like cats!
Look at our messages on Facebook plz!
I told her when I left there I was going to pay for Jesse’s rent deposit that’s a fact and right after I paid she txt me and said sry he just gotten adopted?
Dawn didn’t want me to have any other dog but Elsa knowing I had four kitties already and Elsa wouldn’t have been a good fit at all! Get your facts before you try and defend your staff at that! The only option Beth gave my daughter on a young pregnant stray cat was and I quote her exact words were “ you might as well go take her and get her euthanized”
I sponsored two dogs I paid for two dogs and a cat for my friend “Gracie and Gypsy” that Dawn promised to send her papers for that she never gotten too! And I never got Jesse neither! I was absolutely heart broken and if you go back and find our “Dawn and my” messages you’d see that for yourself! That’s exactly why my girls got me a puppy! Due to the fact I didn’t get the dog I adopted!
Do not put words in my mouth nor say you have anything on paper! The only paper I signed was for the two I sponsored! I still have all 5 receipts as a matter of fact!
Fact is I’m more concerned about those fur baby’s! If Beth is going to tell my daughter to have her put down then y’all aren’t a no kill shelter anymore you can’t be! Beth has absolutely NO heart for those baby’s and her attitude proves that!
My friend is even afraid to call anyone there for her papers on her cat and dog due to the tone of your staff! That’s a fact!
Rude inconsiderate and disrespectful!

Amazing No-Kill Shelter! Run heavily by volunteers, these people work hard to care for animals 24/7 and find them homes with love. They do “Check-me-out” and “Get Fit with Fido” events that encourage the community to come out and social with the animals, and get them off the property for a little while. Great place to visit, donate, or volunteer.

This is a great rescue championed by a great lady, Betty Martin! We have got 2 rescues here now. Lifehouse loves and cares for all their fur babies. You will not be disappointed in the care given to these future pets!

What a Heaven's place of hope, love, and uniting lost, abused and abandoned fur babies with families that have huge hearts and safe homes. Betty, her staff, and the volunteers are wonderful caregivers and give how to these animals through their tireless efforts and love. We fell in love with our Maggie the moment we saw her face, abs she's a welcomed addition to our other 2 fur baby family! It's takes a tremendous amount of time, patience, love, and gentle nurturing for these animals, but OH how our hearts have grown and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Betty Martin LIFE HOUSE for your next pet!

I applied to foster a dog, was denied due to my dogs not being neutered. I thought as a pet owner it was my choice to decide if I wanted to alter my pets, apparently not if you're wanting to foster or adopt. I've chosen not to neuter my dogs because, I don't let them out or worry about them impregnating other dogs. I feel like I'm being penalized for not chopping off my dogs grapes. I could've provided an excellent home for a fur baby. This information was never stated on their site either, this is truly heartbreaking.
