If you’re going to overbook, hire more associates: not *one person on a Friday!!*—waiting for hours to pick up a car isn’t fun. I couldn’t even cancel my reservation because I was one minute past the pickup time even though that was because I was waiting in a line that didn’t move. I stood in line longer than my flight. I should have gone elsewhere and fought the credit card charge. I will never book through this garbage corporation again, and neither should you.

The car I got had a crack in the windshield and the tail light was broken and the inside was not clean . The inside windshield was so dirty and not clean .

Extremely rude and unprofessional. The guy was sarcastic, rude and disrespectful. He clearly dislikes his job and takes it out on customers. He asked if my credit card had my name on it, I pointed it out and said “right here” he says “ that’s a yes or no question”. Who talks that way to customers? The entire experience was very unpleasant. Also gave me a vehicle I don’t book and lied about not having anymore vehicles. Choose another car rental provider

Where do I begin??? The 7-passenger vehicle I initially paid for, and was told was waiting for me, was NOT in the space when I came to the garage to pick it up, which was a waste of MY time. Payless charges way too much for a deposit for someone who has a RETURN FLIGHT. Enterprise only charges a few dollars, so I’m puzzled why you guys charge that much. Next, the Payless agent then assigned me to ANOTHER SUV, just for me to go BACK UPSTAIRS to find out it was not a 7-Passenger SUV. THEN, I had to go BACK OVER TO THE COUNTER UPSTAIRS, just to inform the young man that the vehicle he assigned to me, was NOT a 7-passenger. He then had to get a manager named C.J. to apparently “approve” a new vehicle for me, which was a Dodge Durango. This entire process took over an HOUR of MY TIME. I requested a vehicle at 12 PM and didn’t get a vehicle until MUCH LONGER AFTER THE REQUESTED TIME. I was ASSURED by C.J. that I’d receive a DELAY upon returning vehicle and that he would refund me over $80. But, that’s not what happened…Here’s what happened!! The vehicle was brought back with a FULL TANK, on-time and I was charged an additional 30 something dollars, that I was also told would be reimbursed!! To put it short, Payless made THIS particular rental experience, A NIGHTMARE!!!

I've never rented from them before but from now on they have become like family. The customer service I received was top notch.
