The Budget car rental at the CVG airport should be avoided like the plague! They charged us $250 a couple weeks after our vacation for "animal hair" in the car... problem is, there was no animal in the car and we are all allergic to pet hair. This is FRAUD!!!

I explicitly told the agent that I wanted a full tank of gas and I could return it empty. They did not put that on my rental and charging $9.99 per gallon to fill it up. When I call customer service it was basically too bad. So sad, but on a positive note, the customer service representative was very polite.

3rd time renting, and they have put the extra fuel fee despite waiving it at the start... this is a very bad business practice.The service was good, and they were able to resolve the issue, saving me time calling customer service to remove the extra unnecessary fee/cost.

We always rent from Budget/Avis.Great cars, excellent and helpful representatives.The accessibility across the different budget locations is great too. I was having some issue with my CarPlay and I stopped by a different location to check that and they fixed it for me without any hassle.The drop off is so simple and quick. No surprise charges which is unlike other rentals.I got a free upgrade to a sports model got a beast Dodge Challenger for the cost of an economy.Overall a great experience

Very disappointed! They charged me $450 to clean some mud off the floor pads. Had I of known we had to have a spotless returned vehicle, I would have done this. In addition, they charged $82.50 for gas. The $450 cleaning fee was nearly the price of the rental. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

The desk clerk was very kind and professional. She called the agent in the garage and asked her to explain the details about operating the vehicle. The woman took the time to explain how to operate the dashboard on the car. She was very professional and answered all my questions. She even put my luggage in the trunk. I drove the car smoothly and easily because of this kind lady. I enjoyed driving it!

Prepaid & got confirm # for a SPORTS car for our mother/daughter trip. Got to Budget to pick up at the time I had scheduled and they didn't have any available. I had paid more $$ for a sports car and prepaid ahead so there wouldn't be any trouble. I was offered a minivan, Honda Pilot, Chevy Suburban - none of those fit what I wanted and what I prepaid for. I was extremely disappointed and in tears. Long story short, after going to a different counter and explaining my unhappiness, "Dustin" was extremely helpful and did great customer service. He checked incoming vehicles and said there was a Jeep Rubicon that was being cleaned. We ended up taking that which wasn't the sports car we wanted but better than a minivan at least. This was at the Budget at the CVG airport on Terminal drive. Dustin was a great help and was the true example of what customer service should look like.

Would rate lower if possible. Great option if you want to be left stranded at Cincinnati airport at 12:30 am due to a flight delay. Want to point out these are pretty standard hours if you’re a reasonably reputable airport and car rental service. Any other car rental company stays at the desk two hours after a flight lands. Hence why they ask for flight numbers.Will absolutely be avoiding budget all together even though I get a discounted rate through my company. Will also be flying to/from Dayton or Indianapolis moving forward.Thanks for charging me hundreds of dollars for a service that was unreceived and leaving me stranded, budget! Nicely done!

Great experience all around. Location was super convenient, employees were courteous and helpful both at pick-up and drop-off, booked a full size car and was upgraded to SUV at no charge, car in great shape. Great job, thank you!

Not only was our rental car dirty but they have terrible customer service and I will never rent a car thru them again. I rented a car online through my airlines, when I arrived at the airport they couldn't find my valid reservation, only a canceled one that had reserved for the incorrect number of days. So they sent me out with an invalid rental agreement which I discovered 2 days later. After calling customer service and escalating to a manager on 3 different occasions for 3 days I've yet to have them send me a corrected or updated rental contract which they promised I would get.

First car we were given started having mechanical issues within 15 minutes of leaving the airport. Called the customer service number and after enduring the automated phone hell got connected to the breakdown dept. Difficult to give them the vehicle id number when someone had covered it with a sticker. Was given the option of waiting for a tow truck in 98 degree weather but instead elected to limp it back to the closest facility - back to the airport. Took surface streets as I didn't trust getting back on the interstate. Returned that car and waited until another could be issued.When we returned the second car I noted the amount charged was noticeably higher so had to go back to the outside booth and explain the whole situation. Was told the additional cost was because I didn't stop to fill up the failing first car. Luckily, a supervisor was on scene and authorized a discount to cover the fuel charge plus a bit more. I don't feel I needed to press this issue and ended up receiving about $40 for the hour and a half - plus delay in my travels. At least the supervisor apologized for the issue as no one else did.

I reserved a convertible Ford Mustang, and when I arrived at the pick up counter, was told that there were only three vehicles available two of them being a pick up truck, and the third, being a smaller, lower quality vehicle. I was told that they could only make a small adjustment to the price and that I could take it or leave it. They told me I could speak with a manager to see about lowering the price further when I returned the vehicle. When I did return the vehicle, I was told there was no manager available but they asked to take my number and someone would give me a call back. Three days later I never heard back so I called customer support where I was told that at this time there was nothing that they could do.Why even take reservations? The most important part of the reservation process is holding it. Budget failed on many levels and I promise not to rent from them ever again.

Had reserved electric car but when picking up at airport was told i had requested a Ford Mustang. I was able to change to a more comfortable option but no electric cars were available and so I had to spend additional $55 to fill up car before returning. I would have rented a much cheaper compact car if I had known electric was not an option from start. I was assured at airport that I had requested a mustang despite my receipt clearly stating Tesla 3 or similar electric car. Rest of experience was good but I just spent way too much money on a car I wouldn’t have rented otherwise.

This was one of the best rental car experiences of my life. We were in and out so quickly, the car was immaculate, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. We were traveling with two toddlers, and it was genuinely easy breezy. Thank you, Budget!
