This is one of the last ma n pa stores left! Mr. N Mrs. Hunley are so sweet! Their fresh made sandwiches are the best! Everything about this place takes me back 30 years ago to a much better time!

When you step inside you're briefly transported down the nostalgic memory lanes of yester year. Situated in a bucolic rustic setting on the well traveled state highway 68-80 in a quiet little agrarian community the feeling of nostalgia is pervasive.They've been in business since 1940; this is a type of store that is almost unheard of in the 21st century. These businesses were something I grew up with and hold many fond dear memories of. This is that rare little gem that sparkles like a glistening diamond in the sun. All those little stores are now gone; becoming one by one the victim of corporatization of the rural landscape. Unfortunately they couldn't compete with the mega corporate complexes that now dominate our rural towns. You'll get good service here with a down to earth home style atmosphere. They have great prices on the deli meats & cheeses that are hard to beat. Well worth checking out.

This Is an old general store, out in the county. Merchandise and deli counter type deal. They will tell you the story of the store if you stay for a while. Unfortunately I was distracted by the jolly cat lounging next to a car outside.
