Today was my first visit although I’ve been perusing the FB page for quite a while. I saw a cabinet I really liked and Michelle was prompt in answering my questions. We went today to check it out and the piece was much nicer than I even anticipated. She was so pleasant and just awesome in helping my husband get it loaded in our van. I will continue to peruse and not hesitate to return!

The other day my Grandma and I drove out to Dry Ridge, Kentucky which is about 40 minutes from downtown Cincinnati. I had never heard of Dry Ridge, Kentucky before let alone Sweet Buy & Buy the antiques filled farm house and barn. My Grandma had heard about Sweet Buy & Buy from a friend at work, and she asked if I wanted to go with her to check it out. A antiqued filled barn in the middle of nowhere in Kentucky? Sure, Why not? So we went. We pulled up onto this gravel road and up to a barn that was about five minutes right off of the highway exit. Saw an old waterpump with an "Open" sign hanging off of it and continued to drive up to the old farm house. The front yard of the farm house had antiques in it and around it leading up to the front door. When we entered the front door we were greeted by two very friendly and nice Kentucky women who told us to enjoy ourselves and look around. This farm house is full of antiques, wall to wall decorated and set up nicely so you can see everything. It wasn't crowded and stacked like a hoarders place and that always thrills me when it comes to places that sell antiques. Even the bathroom had a nice set up of antiques in it. Inside the farmhouse there is also a hidden staircase in one of the rooms that leads you upstairs to another whole floor of antiques. Also, they have a barn outside that you pass when coming in. You can go into it, and look around. The barn also has a bunch of cool items to check out. While you are out in the barn you can also go bug the chickens like I did...and by bug I mean go and talk smack to them while they just look at you and judge you. Because that's what chickens do. They had a good mixture of unique things. Lots of Old vanities, unique picture frames of all sizes, desks, lamps, dishes and a lot more. I picked up a 1965 Pink Striped Pyrex Bowl, 1950s Blue Samsonite Hat Box Suitcase (In amazing shape), and long costume jewelry pearl necklace. I got all three of these things for around $50. Which is amazing. They also sell a brand of paint called "Country Chic" here. Really pretty colors and they have a pretty decent sized collection of paint colors and painting tools. If you go to check this place out make sure you either bring cash, or a checkbook because they do not take cards. It was really worth the 40 minute drive out there. If you are really in to antiques, I would definitely take a trip out here. It makes for a fun little trip.

This place is amazing. Every single time I go there, they have lots of different things. From furniture to little items, and everything in between. If you like antiques, shabby chic, primitive or vintage, this is the place. It's an old farmhouse and every room is bursting with wonderful items from yesteryear. Even the front and back porch and yard has stuff! It's worth the trip, as this is a hidden jewel. I usually go to Country Hearts in Downtown Williamstown too while in the area.
