This is a wonderful apartment! My unit was freshly renovated before move in, and there were no issues. The maintenance man and building management are very personable and quick to fix things. The apartments themselves are beautiful, high ceilings, central AC/heat, and massive windows, and most importantly: it’s safe. The doors to the building are locked 24/7. Overall I highly recommend this building! A great view of downtown Cincy if a big bonus!

Honestly, living here so far (have been a resident for two months) has very much exceeded expectations. The complex as a whole is kept pretty clean, and William (building manager) is super friendly and helpful. My apartment is quite spacious and was recently renovated, which I definitely appreciate. Also, since it is an old school the walls are very thick (I think there is cinderblock or something behind the drywall), so you don't hear your neighbors at all. Parking is not really a problem either as there are two lots for residents that don't usually fill up. In terms of overall quality and such, I would give a 4-star, but in terms of value for your money, I would give a definitive 5-star!

Absolutely love it here! The high ceilings and windows are so lovely. Demaree and William are also two of the nicest people you will meet. The building itself is very clean and safe.

My friend and I were looking for an apartment near both of our families that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg and I'm so glad we found this place. We just moved in a couple weeks ago but it's everything we wanted. My cat loves the large window sills and we all love how much natural light the windows provide. Definitely looking forward to being here for a while.

I've been here over a year now and can't imagine living anywhere else. Not only is the neighborhood super walkable, with multiple restaurants and shops nearby, but I feel safe at all times. The building is quiet, the neighbors are friendly, and it's such a convenient spot to anything in the greater Cincinnati area. I can be downtown in six minutes, Kenwood or the Florence Malls in less than a half-hour, and to Kings Island in under 40, as well.Parking is plentiful and the lots are well lit. All of my maintenance requests have been answered immediately and professionally. Email correspondence is replied to within minutes and they are doing a nice job of continually upgrading the property. There is new signage that reflects the vibe of the place and I just can't say enough good things about living here.

My car got vandalized twice in the parking lot. I ended up with a dent in the rear passenger door and scratches on the front passenger door. They have cameras and when you ask them to review the footage, they never find anything. I was told there was a car that had parked beside me at one point over a weekend that had something like 8 people get out of it. The guy was amazed so many people had fit inside the vehicle but couldn't definitively say it was that car that caused the damage. The second time I came out to my car one day to a very long scratch starting at my driver's side front door handle and going almost the whole length of the door. I filed a police report on that one and was told there were many complaints in the neighborhood of kids going around throwing rocks and/or using rocks to cause damage. The other theory was kids riding around on bicycles. Upon reflection, I realized that indeed, when the weather is nice there always is kids milling about the parking lot, riding bicycles and such. But, the worst experience of all was getting charged for rent halfway through December when my lease was up at the end of November and I actually vacated the apartment completely by the second week of November. You are supposed to give a 60 day notice at this place to end your lease, which is unusual for the Cincinnati area as most apartments only need a 30 day notice. I sent my notice like 4 months in advance to the same address I sent my rent checks. They told me that was the incorrect address and by the time it was all found out, giving a 60 day notice from that day extended past the end of my lease. So they charged me a prorated rent rate. Even though they still got a 6 week notice and I vacated the apartment 2 weeks early they took my $300 deposit and then had the gall to send me another bill after the fact for less than $47 for good measure. So I actually left the apartment on Nov 13 but got charged for rent through Dec 11 because they said they didn't get my notice to end the lease early enough and that the notice I did send was technically sent to the wrong address. This is the the type of corporate owned place that has a team of lawyers that can and will be happy to go after for even the slightest of amounts like $47. In their mind, they got your notice to end your lease 6 weeks early instead of 8 weeks early because you have to send your notice to the special address in the fine print of your lease and not the same address you send your rent checks to. They claim they have to do this to follow some sort of legality, but just ask yourself, do you find this reasonable? Is this the type of place you want to get involved with? I can assure you they can and will try to nickle and dime you any which way they can to get your deposit. Also, if you care about your car at all, you don't want to be parking it anywhere near the area.

I’ve lived at Schoolhouse Flats for about a year now. The apartments are large and I have enjoyed my space. The property is managed well and the maintenance man is almost always around to help with any issues. Rent is reasonable compared to other apartments in Cincinnati or surrounding areas.
