“St. Gertrude Church is beautiful. I went to a funeral there, so it wasn't the best of time to judge the Church, but I was very impressed with how the Church looked”

“I’m incredibly thankful for this church community. The wide variety of ages, the women’s ministry, and the kid’s ministry are great, just to name a few things.
The elder board leads with humility and integrity. Pastor Jamie is very gifted at expository preaching and has a true passion for Jesus and His Word.
What a treasure it is to be part of a church that’s deeply rooted in scripture, and also open to the moving of God’s Spirit.”

“I have never set foot in this church. That being said, they put on a pretty good festival and the community belonging to the church all seem to be honest to goodness decent people that are welcoming to folks when they come. My parents have been to their fish fry during Lent and say they do that right as well.”

“Living on Summit Rd you can get ANYTHING you desire, even killed. With two worship buildings on the street that bothered me. Being obedient, I stopped at New Prospect Baptist Church, ask them if they were aware what was going on? I didn’t get the response that I anticipated, I left there feeling disappointed. Being a believer myself, I kept praying for my street and the people on it. I start seeing little improvements and the power of God moving on HIS terms and in HIS time. Never underestimate the power of God, when HE step in things get right. A week before Thanksgiving, New Prospect Baptist Church sent out flyers to the residence on Summit Road, I attended. Pastor Lynch and his congregation was very receptive of the few that came. We ate good food and Pastor Lynch delivered an inspiring word that they were going to make Summit Road their project to become a better place to live. It’s the small things that matter, the church was the ONLY building that would be decorated for Christmas season, not anymore, every other tree trunk on Summit is wrapped with blinking Christmas lights. That’s impressive. On behalf of the residents on MY street, we thank you New Prospect Baptist Church and Pastor Damon Lynch III, better days are ahead.”

“This place is a whole lot different than the Citadel Downtown. Alex from Emergency Assistance had really helped me and my family with food and hygiene products. It's easier to get there because I took the route 4 bus and the route 41 bus. I really appreciate her took the time to help us in our time of need.”
