“Full Disclosure: the owner is my neighbor, but that doesn't prevent me from being honest.Great place for cute stuff. In the past, I purchased a KitchenAid stand mixer that is still going strong after several years, and today's find was a Vintage Favorite Piqua Ware Scotch Bowl. I'll use it as a Dutch Oven for cooking and baking bread. It's a great cast iron piece that new on Am-z-n would cost me almost 2x more. I'd much rather support a local owned business that helps our community.”

“I was very impressed with Mr. Leach’s willingness to educate me. We were trying to decide which items to sell and which to donate to charity. Even though he personally didn’t need any of our items, he still took the time to advise us on each item. We needed chairs for our dining room and his selection was quite high end. The chairs we are buying will enhance our dining room quite nicely.”

“I came to an amazingly fun, welcoming, festive ornament making class here and Curtis and Steve were the perfect hosts! They helped make my ornaments lovely. I would recommend this venue to anyone - It's a great way to unleash your creative spirit in a fun and happy space. I'll definitely be back!”

“Had so much fun exploring Mustang Betty's Antiques. Left with masses after some keen price negotiation and a bit of gossip to boot. Thanks Betty, when next in Cincy, will pop in.”

“This is a great store with very helpful and friendly staff. I also found many interesting and rare items like a rare vintage video game system called the Vectrex (which was sadly out of my price range). I totally recommend checking them out. Also funny story, the mens bathroom is paneled in old doors, which is mildly disconcerting in a funny way.”

“Great little shop. Actually, a BIG shop - so much square footage! But feels quaint in the best possible way.Owner is friendly and laid back. Diverse collection of well-organized “curiosities.” Many transport-related items. Cool dogs and industrial type stuff.Easy and enjoyable to navigate the space. Great light - and everything is clearly marked.”

“Great place to find anything cool and vintage. Wonderful selection of older shirts...I guess the 90's are vintage now! Dedicate about an hour to wonder the aisles of this vintage wonderland!”

“This is the real deal--not a flea market type of store at all. Fabulous stock and the owner is very knowledgeable. He found a key to open an old Eastlake dresser with a side lock that we've struggled to find for a few years. We'll definitely be going back. Thanks Louis for investing in Newport!”

“We had a 2 ft statue restored beautifully that was 50+ yrs old. The statue had broken near the base with some areas having chips and blaster missing. We were concern about making it structurally sound, the required detailing, and matching the antique color due to the age. The statue was reinforced with rods and the cracks and missing blaster were filled and sculptured to match the missing features. It was restored like new. We are very pleased as the statue had sentimental value and brought back memories. The restoration was beyond our expectations and brought tears of joy.Thank you again.”

“This was my first visit and I was amazed. I was looking for bling for my upcoming runway show and boy do they have quite the selection. The prices were reasonable for what you're getting also. I wound up purchasing a bracelet, tiara, 2 pairs of earrings, a necklace and some invents. Im definitely will return.”

“Love this neat & clean but jam packed shop of several rooms full of excellent quality used furniture, most old enough to be made better than what you can buy new. Lots of interesting and unique decorative items; always fun to browse, and my go-to when I need to replace or add a good piece to my home or office.HIGHLY RECOMMEND ❣️❣️ ”

“....and it's true. It's overwhelming. But if you're looking for a unique light fixture or a match to that unusual lamp this is the place. Highly recommended for period and vintage fixtures. Crowded, yes. But if you're serious about finding what you need, this is the place.”

“This place was super fun! It is basically a warehouse set up with partitions, creating booth space. Vendors rent small spaces to sell their wares. Most are vintage, but a couple of artists have space there as well. Many quirky, unique items, and you can roam without intervention. One never knows when you might need a rotary phone or 80s Tupperware deviled egg tray! Perhaps you are seeking extra large vintage chaps or a Calvin Klein handbag from that same era? They have it here! As with any merchant selling second-hand goods, some have a better perspective on the value of their items than others. That being said, keep in mind these folks are spending time and energy locating these treasures. It is located on Mitchell Avenue, on the corner of Este right across from Restaurant Depot. You will see a pink sign and chain link fence, pull to the left on the Este side of the building for access.”

“Flamingo Haven Antique Mall is an unassuming shop in an unassuming location. It's not super easy to find, but once you do you'll find a treasure trove of goodies to look through. There are lots of twists and turns in Flamingo Haven. It's kinda fun. I didn't find anything I couldn't live without, but it'll be fun to come back and look around.I'm glad this place is here. I wish there were more antique malls like Flamingo Haven.”

“I have been working with the Velvet Cricket for about 5 years. On average, I do about 1000 per month in business with them. James and the other staff go out of their way to be helpful to clients. It does take about 3 months to get money, but the truth is, that is how long the cycle takes. James is very transparent about that. For my money, I am very happy with the cricket and feel they go above and beyond. These other reviewers seem to believe that they have a full understanding of how the business should be run when their understanding is somewhat amateurish.”

“I have shopped at this beautiful downtown store for over 30 years now. They have some of the most exquisite pieces of antique furniture… You definitely want to take the time to wander around and look at all of the ever-changing pieces that come and go!”

“Art. Real art is at Hawksworth Manor. Magnificent place!!! I loved the experience. It is a museum experience but you can actually purchase real art for yourself. Paintings, hand made rugs, and amazing art. Hawksworth Manor is off the beaten path but well worth the trip into an amazing art world that you did not know exist: an amazing experience into the world of yesterday that you can actually taste and take home and enjoy the qualities of another century. These opportunities rarely exist today.”
