Carrier, not our regular delightful one, left our package, out in the rain, next to our detached garage instead of placing it on our covered porch. Too lazy to walk an extra 20 feet?

I now understand why the Post Office is having such serious problems these days, and its not because of commercial delivery services like Fedex or the Internet. The Post Office just does not care about service or doing a good job any more! While I am sure some dedicated postal employees must still exist, they are not in my area. I live in a rural area, and during the past 6 months I have worked from home. I noticed that I was not receiving all the mail that my office was sending, and some of it was late. When I mentioned this to my wife, she told me this was normal, and that people in the neighborhood usually swapped out the misdelivered mail, although some folks probably just trashed it if it was not theirs. I contacted the local Post Master to inquire about this problem, and was told that I had one of his best carriers, and that it was easy to accidently pull some of the wrong mail. Well, that might make some sense, but wouldnt that mean my mail would be misdelivered to one of my next door neighbors, instead of a long distances away? Its fax and Fedex for me from now on.
