Very friendly staff. Clear instructions and easy to follow. Not much shade on the trip so plan accordingly and bring plenty of water if it's hot! It was an easy paddle and beautiful scenery.

Friendly and efficient staff. Water level was very low requiring a bit more work than expected but a lovely trip just the same. Saw a buck, an osprey, ducks and many turtles. Many wildflowers in bloom, too!

Super friendly folks! Really go above and beyond to help the customer. Such a rare thing today. The guys that took us to the river did all the work of loading and unloading. Unlike the other company we watched at the load site. Will return and want to do an overnight soon.

CAREFUL! This was our first stop when we arrived to the area. We weren’t able to check into our B&B until later in the day and had all of our belongings with us. I appreciate and support small/family owned businesses. So I chose them over the rest. Not at all crowded like other places I have kayaked at. Only a few other cars there. Kayaking on the Green River was beautiful. Perfect weather.A couple things to note: The van ride to and from the river is pretty rough. AND we returned back to our truck to find the window busted out and belongings stolen. They said “this has never happened here before.” BUT the police officer said it has happened quite a bit at Green River Canoe and another company just down the street because “these kind of people” know purses and wallets are left in the car while you are on the water.My 1-star review is for their “apparent” lack of “awareness” on their VERY SMALL lot. Just want to warn others. Spend the money on a waterproof bag and don’t leave anything valuable in your vehicle. This turned out to be an aggravating, unnecessarily expensive weekend. Lesson learned!

We actually didn't go as the river was up/too high/flooded.Friendly, professional lady who answered the phone was upfront about Current water levels and conditions.Left the decision to us. My teen doesn't have kayak experience with rough, fast moving water yet, so we chose not to chance it.Very thankful they were upfront and honest over making a sale, signs of good character for sure.

If you are looking for an experienced and friendly outfitter for your trip down the river then this is it! Everyone was friendly and easy to deal with, very helpful. The day of our trip we were provided with information about the river and good places to stop along the way. We were also provided with a map that had the highlighted route and life vest. Our transport was great, once again friendly and helpful putting our canoes in the water. We chose the 12 mile trip , it was gorgeous. My children are older and love to explore so this was a great trip for us. We saw lots of wildlife including otters! I packed a lunch in my backpack for my family and we stopped on sand island to eat. We did not have any cellular service on the river so we were not able to call when we got a few miles from the end. We were able to call as soon as we got to Houtchin Ferry and they picked us up right away. I highly recommend this company!

Without a doubt the nicest people and so far the cheapest I've paid for down stream canoeing. Informative on do's and don'ts. They prefer you keep up with the pace of your group but I was in a rush to get back home to the Chicago area and allowed me to rush the course and pick me up alone. They arrived at the pickup point 7 minutes after arriving. There appeared to be several canoeing places out there that started and picked you up at the same spot. They all look older but this one 15min away from mammoth camp ground. But without a doubt the nicest people who seemed like they really care. Pick this place if your in the area!

Me and the wife went today with our 3 year old daughter and 1 year old son. Although it was stressful trying to keep them still in the canoe we had a great time! It even rained on us inside the last 200 yards. It was a great way to cool off! The water was fun but slow, and being our first trip out it was just fine with us.

They could have a better looking location. The place that they are at kind of looks run down. On the other hand Barbara the owner was super sweet and accommodating. She was helpful in telling us what mile marker in the river to call the office for a estimated pick up time and where to exit the river. They were there waiting for us as we pulled up at the take out spot. I would recommend this outfitter when you are wanting to take a float on the green river in Cave City.
