Five-star is a legend. I know the bucees nearby is famous and whatnot, but this gas station is magic. I worked at a fireworks tent across the street for three weeks, and I met every single one of their employees, and every one of them was fabulous. Not to mention the always clean and well stocked bathrooms, well stocked food and drinks (aside from the pineapple Fanta that is... they kept running out...) but in every other way, this is the best gas station around. I would do the 1.5-hour commute daily just to get gas from here if I had the time. Lovely place.

I recently visited FiveStar off I-65 in Cave City, Kentucky, on May 22nd at around 7:00 PM, and had a highly disappointing experience. Inside, the convenience store was extremely unclean and unsanitary. The shelves were poorly stocked with expired products, and there was visible dirt and grime everywhere.
The men's restroom was particularly appalling, with a strong odor of urine and dead flies scattered everywhere. It was evident that the restroom hadn't been cleaned in a long time, lacking even basic supplies like soap and toilet paper.
While the staff did provide good customer service, they frequently used profanity, creating an uncomfortable and unprofessional environment.
Overall, this gas station failed to meet even the most basic standards of cleanliness and a professional atmosphere. I will not be returning and advise others to avoid it as well.

Love this store and it’s employees. Great selection of products, open 24 hours and always greeted with a friendly hello. Their rewards program is awesome earning free drinks, discounts, and especially the cents off a gallon on gas. The hot food and deli items are made fresh daily and are delicious. My favorite daily stop.

My friends go there every night to get things. And they have a nice section of king sized candy bars like Paydays. Yum. A bit on the expensive side. 3bags of chips, 2 King size candy bars $32. Wow.

They Never Have Breakfast on Weekdays and None on Weekends this place is very below any normal 5 Star Standards Kitchen Staff Lazy cyand Rude.Better place is go is Crossroads IGA they have fresh Hot Breakfast and Lunch.

WORST BP IVE EVER BEEN TO. Have been trying to get a wallet back from this place from out of state for over two weeks. Every time I call, no one answers. I've left 2 messages, no returned call. Finally got through today just to speak to someone who clearly did not give a s*** whatsoever and ultimately hung up on me. By far the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life.

On my way home to Louisville from Nashville I made a quick pit stop at the Five Star to fill up my tank. This gas station is conveniently located off the Cave City exit which is where you'll find Dinosaur World and Mammoth Cave. The station has plenty of pumps. They pump quickly and it's easy to pay with your credit card. While my gas was pumping I took advantage of cleaning my windows. A Subway is located inside Five Star but there's also other fast food spots nearby to hit up before getting back on the road.
