The store is usually very well kept, clean and organized. The prices are quite fair, and the merchandise, though used, is clean. The folks there are mostly very friendly and helpful. There's also a discount/rewards progarm offered- a punch card. Parking is a mess, though this is not the fault of the store.

The Hosparus Thrift Shop has the best prices in town--better than some yard sales. They have sale days when clothes are $1 and kids clothes are 50 cents. Other days are 50% off with a full punch card (which would get you 20% off any other day). Items are sometimes random and in varying quantities, but I get a lot of good stuff there: children's books, dresses for me, bags, craft supplies, jewelry, and clothes and shoes for my kids. In addition, the employees/volunteers are so nice and friendly.I also donate my items there. The workers are volunteers, and I like knowing that the money raised goes to a worthy cause. Because the workers are volunteers, the store is not open on weekends, which means they miss out on a lot of after-yard-sale donations that would fill the store better. However, because donations are delivered in person and with no dropbox outside, the employees probably deal with less trash.Compared to Goodwill, prices are much cheaper at Hosparus, but volume and turnover of items is also less at Hosparus. Hosparus is definitely my first stop but not always my last.

I've been looking for a warm fou pea coat (faux fur) vintage style, for about 5 years in the wild. I'm 5' 4" and a size M in jackets and found a beautiful chocolate fou coat my first time visiting in my size for $5 , low and behold it had a purple tag, and was purple tag week at the register I was told this is only $1 today. SCORE! okay now you have my attention, I pickup a store calander sheet for the fridge and upon inspection see that on Thursdays I can bring my disabled veteran father to shop who's also over 55 for an additional 20% off. great place to find him a nice jacket or a good read. Only downside is it's only open mon/fri 9/5 so no weekend trips but I WILL BE BACK. .. .. OFTEN :)

Awesome place that does great things with the money earned from donations. The racks were a little bare so be sure to donate! It's time to clean out your closets and storage areas.

I love to shop here to find great items, and help the people who need money to pay for health care.

The Hosparus Thrift store is always clean and neat. The staff is made up of volunteers, who care enough to give their time to help those in need. All merchandise is made up of donations fron the community. They keep the items priced fairly, and you never know what you may find in the shelves and racks. If you like thirty shopping, and helping others at the same, time then this is a great stop.

Seems like a nice place, however, I had a disappointing first visit. I heard about this place and decided to load the truck down with donations. When I walked inside to get a bin, the lady at the desk ran me off. She told me they were closing in 10 mins so I needed to leave. I assumed she thought I was trying to shop, so I told her I was just donating and I could bring my donations in before they closed. She just stared at me and shook her head in what seemed like frustration. Everyone else in the store was also staring since she had been so loud about it. Confused, I asked if she wanted the donations and she asked how much I had. I told her quite a bit and she refused very hatefully. After that, I don’t feel comfortable going back. It’s not a way to treat anyone; especially an 8 month pregnant girl on her birthday.. I thought they would be grateful for some generous donations but they didn’t want them at all.
