Doc Durham and his staff are the best in our opinion .They take excellent care of our 5 dogs. We moved away from Taylor County and now live in Marion Co. but we happily make the drive back to keep him as our veterinarian because we just weren't happy with the quality of care or personality of the veterinarians we tried in Marion Co.Thank you to everyone at Green River Veterinarian Services.

So I took my dachshund here because his face was swelling. They gave him meds said there was several teeth that needed to come out(assuming definitions of several meaning more than 2 but less than 6 ) the most expensive being a molar at 30 bucks. When I showed up for the teeth extraction they told me there was a blood test that cost 120 and he needed rabies shots. They didn't mention any of that before the morning of the extraction. Then they proceeded to remove 15 teeth which is way more than several about 3 times that. The bill was 580. I could only pay 300 which I did and after I did, Dr. Durham came back and told me if I wanted to take my dog I needed to pay the remaining balance or they were keeping him. Do not trust this vet period. Any vet that doesn't understand an animal is family shouldn't be a vet. They also put dental scaling/polishing for 97.50, flouride treatment for 10.00, dental medium/paste for 5.00. All of these they never discussed two weeks ago when we made the appointment. I saved back 300 just incase there was a few extra teeth based off the price they gave me. I was expecting about 150. Worst of all they ransom your pet for extra work they didn't tell you they were doing. Do not go here. I highly advise against it. We will not be back. A vet holding a pet hostage..... I dont trust any vet that does that. Terrible for future business. Oh but they did take 100 off the teeth extraction price before ransoming my pet! How kind of them.

Fair prices, friendly staff, and out of 3 vets I took our dog to for cherry eye (the first was rude and the second was too expensive) this was the only doctor to explain the procedure in detail. That’s just one example of how he keeps you involved with your animal’s care. Which I greatly appreciate. First time we had left our big baby with anyone and we knew he was in good hands. Definitely continuing care for all of our pets here.

Lizzie is always so well taken care of at Green River Vet. She recently had surgery and they remembered that she tends to rub her nose when she is kenneled until it bleeds. The staff remembered to make special accommodations for her post surgery without me even telling them! And they are so affectionate with her. They have been treating her for 13 years and I have always been pleased!

Dr. Durham is extremely knowledgeable and honest. He takes the time to explain everything and provides excellent veterinary care. He has performed surgery on two of my dogs and basically saved one of my dog's eyes. I definitely trust his expertise.
