Was told they could do a Mobil appointment by the store and other associates on my truck no problem then they completely changed there mind and couldn’t why are they the leader in this industry but one of the few that can’t do recalibration on Mobil visits something smells fishy to me oh well more crap service from what I thought was the best at one time

One of the most unpleasant experiences I've had with customer service was with Safelite. I needed to replace my windshield and reached out to them. Kayla informed me that they had ordered the wrong part and needed to reschedule my appointment. I agreed to the rescheduling. However, when the Saturday replacement date arrived, they informed me that the part had not been delivered and that they needed to change the appointment again. It's important to note that my original appointment was at 7:00 AM.
Later, Lydia called and said that the part had arrived, even though the technician had mentioned that they would not receive the delivery that day. Only Lydia seemed to know how the part suddenly appeared. She offered me a 12:00 PM appointment, but I had another commitment at that time. I called back immediately to request the same appointment time, but she then claimed that all the technicians were busy, despite the website showing availability. If they could change the appointment multiple times, I don't understand why I couldn't change it once and have them accommodate me.

I went to get my car windshield replaced and they removed it and then they saw that the frame was previously damaged and not fixed correctly and they refused to put a windshield back in my car. I understand they were just trying to save themselves from a lawsuit but they need something that people can sign that states we understand what could happen if windshield is not able to be installed properly or somthing along those lines. I was stuck 45 minutes away from home on a workday with no way to get back home. You could tell there was bondo work around windshield, they should have told me the possiblity of this happening before they removed my windshield. I would have told them no and left with my cracked windshield. Now somthing would have been free with insurance is going to cost me a few thousand $$.

Absolute nightmare experience. DO NOT RECOMMEND to your worst enemy. My windshield was struck by a bird in October. I contacted insurance and they handled their end perfectly. I requested an OEM factory windshield only and insurance was fine they paid for the whole thing. We contact safelite to set it up and at first it seemed ok they agreed insurance paid for OEM and said we’ll set up and appointment when we receive the glass. They made an appointment and showed up few days later and gave my a 5 hour window as to when they’ll show up by the way. They came and it was a aftermarket glass. I rejected it and sent it back with them. Next day they call and claim my insurance didn’t pay for OEM. After arguing for nearly an hour they went back and said it was their mistake my insurance DID pay after all. So then they said they’ll order the OEM and make another appointment when they receive the glass. I end up waiting about another 2 weeks. The whole time I’d periodically check up on it and see if they received it. Each time they answered (Safelite) they would give me the same story over and over. “It looks like somebody’s supposed to be picking it up today and then shipping it to us.” That is all the info I ever received they never attempted to give me further info and kept giving me the same story, until eventually it’s been about a month at this point since I started inquiring I just told them if you can’t give me any more info that’ll be helpful or accurate I’m going to need to cancel with safelite and use a different company. Instead of at all trying to ease my mind by maybe calling and finding out exactly where the windshield is or providing a tracking number or literally anything else they just simply told me you can go with another company if you want and hung up on me while I was still talking. That is absolutely disrespectful and unacceptable. And In many peoples opinion would not fly at all. I reached out to a new company and they’re handling it flawlessly. Just goes to show it is safelites fault and not just my situation.i thought about coming in to their office to file a complaint in person with the manager I just didn’t want to get any one specific person in trouble or fired what if they have kids. But I’d just like for the world to know safelite is highly overrated and should not be considered when your trying to find a windshield replacement company. Also I believe they try to sell people aftermarket windshields who have requested OEM and try to keep the difference if you don’t notice. Seems to be happening alot from what I’ve heard and read. BE CAREFUL

Pros/ConsCons-1 was going to put aftermarket glass in2,Got truck back when finished it smelled like a dirty smoker 3, 2 hrs down the road the mirror cover fell off4, when I tried to call bout the mirror cover at 2pm no answer,5, also looks to be a shipping clip on the glass still dont know gonna have to contact them or go back by !!!Pros- They did get an oem glass quickly,2, started the job on time, gave me an update during work as I was waiting.Conclusion, they do alot of windshields Im assuming and to have issues like this and my truck come back smelling. If I ever have to get another replaced I'm going elsewhere.

Your automated voice system is the most useless system I have ever used and it makes returning calls impossible.... but your customer service team and repair technicians are amazing!

Window replacement was fast and satisfactory.However, damage was incurred to my door panel during the work and they refused to make it right.Chalked it up to “wear and tear.”If so, my truck received 4 years of wear and tear in about 90 minutes.

Very unprofessional!If I could give them 0 points, I would.We had an appointment for a windshield replacement in the time between 8am and 12pm. We were waiting at home for the mechanic. At 11.50am we received a call that the windshield arrived broken and we would have to wait 2 weeks before a new one would arrive and be installed. ?This is unprofessional and unacceptable.We reached out to a family owned company and had our windshield replaced 2 days later.Never will give Safelite my business again!!!

Had a back glass busted out. My insurance company deals with Safelite. Safelite have great reps. Gave me a safe wrap on my window until the new glass is ready. Great people at Safelite in Bowling Green Ky.
