Overall, the front desk staff were wonderful and the lobby is a great place to hangout. Whether you’re in town to see the university or looking for good company, Hyatt Place is the spot for you. The continental breakfast is fantastic, some of the best I’ve ever had. Be sure to try to French toast sticks! Would return just for this!

Lied to by Riley who, who then refused to get a manager. I then spent over an hour on hold and no answer. The room smelled of feet. Never staying with Hyatt again.
Rooms: Strange smell in the room

I've stayed at many Hiltons, Hyatts, Marriotts, Hamptons, Holiday Inns, Embassy Suites, etc. in my lifetime. Most of those names USUALLY mean top-notch service, up-to-date-decor, prices commensurate with the type of room you select, and, CLEANLINESS. This one was an EPIC FAIL on cleanliness. The rooms were passable, with only some black mildew in the bath/shower area wallcovering near the ceiling, because there is no exhaust fan out of the room. Couches were stained, carpet with some stains, but not horrible. The elevator lobbies on the upper floors and the guest room corridors are FILTHY and disgusting. Carpets and banged-up doors/frames look like a scene out of 'Animal House' was filmed here. I don't fault housekeeping, they were nice, I fault management. Sorry, Hyatt Place, BG, you guys need help. $475. for one night is robbery, but, then, we were downtown. I felt ripped off! Never again. If you go, wear socks, take Lysol. If you go online and see 10/10 (Expedia), it's bs. These pics taken weekend 9/1/24. Proceed with caution.

Great location and room. The problem first noted was milky color of the swimming pool. Everyone said it is fine. I disagree! Next problem was a fire alarm that forced our exit during breakfast while the fire department checked out the hotel’s issues. No apology and the arrogant woman at the front desk was smug, rude and demeaning.

I always go by reviews, and before posting this, I gave my feedback to the front desk (both night and day crew), and I contacted the manager via email they supplied, with no response. This property has a lot of potential, but the lack of cleanliness and maintenance is apparent throughout. This is our experience having seen two rooms at the Bowling Green Hyatt.
We were traveling through and after 8 hours on the road, we just wanted a reasonably clean place to rest before we hit the road again. Wherever we turned, we ran into issues. This is not about the age of the hotel. There are plenty of older hotels that are clean and well maintained. This is unfortunately not one of them.
The carpeting in the hallways was filthy. What was once beige stripes was now grimy brown. The entire place could use some carpet cleaning. The first room was a disaster, so they moved us to a second room, which wasn’t much better, but by this time it was late and we were so tired.
In the room itself, the floors are not vacuumed. We found plastic cutlery wrapping and other remnants from prior guests. The luggage rack was so wobbly, we couldn’t use it to hold the suitcase. The room phone did not work. We were advised to text the front desk using our own phone. There were dust bunnies everywhere, even on the walls. The bed was interesting - it didn’t have a single blanket or comforter, just the bedsheet and the duvet cover. When we asked for a blanket, we were told this hotel doesn’t use them. The front desk lady offered us two more duvet covers instead. There was such obvious lack of care or attention to detail, even the pillow case was put on inside out.
In the bathroom, the vent was completely covered by dirt and dust. The toilet seat was unhinged and slid off the toilet. The shower had mold on the tile, where tile squares had been replaced, but not grouted. The bathroom floor was filthy and the wallpaper was peeling off. The hair dryer back cover was completely plugged by dirt and dust, while the handle was weirdly sticky. I used a Kleenex tissue to hold it, and it was so sticky, the tissue would not come off.
The room had a view of the dumpsters. We didn’t care about that, since we were only there overnight. But when the garbage truck pulled up at 4 am and metal trash containers started banging around loudly, waking us up, all we could do is laugh. Par for the course, I guess.
Redeeming quality: though not helpful to our overall experience, front desk folks gave us an extra hour to check out, so we could visit the corvette museum in town.
As I gave them the feedback and showed them the photos of the issues we saw, they commented how this was helpful as they can only know about the issues if guests tell them about it. I would think hotel staff could easily look at the rooms and see the issues in plain sight. They recommended I email the manager, which I did - but I received no response.
By comparison, we had just come from the Greensboro NC Hyatt, and had a great experience there. While the rooms are laid out exactly the same, that’s where the comparison ends. Bowling Green Hyatt has a lot of potential, but the cleanliness, maintenance, and management lack of care shows throughout.

Stayed here while visiting the Corvette museum. Only about a mile from museum. Rooms were clean, staff was courteous. Continental breakfast was a little to be desired, but overall a nice place.

Standard Hyatt quality. Very convenient to WKU. Parking in the garage around the corner. Decent breakfast.

A nice hotel, with free garage parking, on the WKU campus. Friendly college kid staff, clean new rooms, what's not to enjoy?

Short staffed, the staff that was there along with the Sales Manager seemed untrained in any type of customer service and the SM was rude a degrading from the start. One of my rooms was cancelled without wornging after our rooms were downgraded. I paid 5 months in advance, hotel was sold out and I had no options for hotels with 2 major events in town. I am a world of Hyatt member but this was the worst experience ever at a Hyatt property. Come to find out I was charged and never refunded my money even though I did not get to stay the night.

This wax my second stay at thos hotel and was a great experience. I stayed one night to break up a long trip. The rooms and beds are very clean and comfortable. It's not far from I-65, which was my route. Staff here are very friendly and helpful. It's a great place to stay.

Well worth the money. The hotel is located directly across frat row which I was worried would be loud but I slept like a rock with only the normal "city noise" to be heard. The hotel and the rooms were spotless and the amenities a plenty. The queen suite could easily fit 2+ comfortably and the bathrooms were chic with a shower that provided basically toiletries. Relaxing fire pit and a clean pool on property. I recommended the taco place right next store!
The only complaint is the lackluster breakfast but that's only cause I'm a sucker for waffles and the waffle sticks they provided were defrosted Kelloggs lol.
Rooms: Large. Functioning AC. Large bathrooms with toiletries and hygiene products. Fridge, microwave, flat screen, and basic hotel amenities.
Nearby activities: College, stadiums, bars, museums, white squirrel brewery, and plenty more
Safety: Hotel is staffed 24/7 and since it's near a campus you had two options for emergency response.
Walkability: You can almost walk to anything that you heart desires. Located near the heart of college town.
Food and drinks: Don't recommend the complimentary breakfast but free food is free food!
Noteworthy details: Parking garage is behind the hotel and not as difficult to get to as it seems.

A similar bad experience as others have had. Read other reviews. Stay away from this place.

Initially, I noticed that the hotel is a bit dated. However, it is clean and well-maintained. During my stay, I encountered several hotel staff members, all of whom were friendly and courteous. Regarding the location, this is undoubtedly the best spot in town.
Rooms: A bit dated but well maintained (clean)
Nearby activities: College campus, Corvette Museum, and Mammoth Cave
Safety: Safe to walk around
Walkability: A few restaurants nearby within walking distance
Food and drinks: Within hotel and nearby

Staff was very friendly, place is a dump. I never leave reviews like this but it's disgusting and very disappointing here. Where do I start, parking deck is nice but garbage everywhere trash cans ( yes duplicate cans ) overflowing looks like it's been a week or so, carpet is so disgusting my shoes don't want to walk on it. Broken tile and garbage on the elevators, carpet in the lounge and dining area haven't been vacuumed in days, disgusting. No food at the brefast. Found a donut shop and got better food there. Room... broken stand for the suitcases, nasty carpet, soap dispenser was broken in the shower, a/c conditioner is so loud, the a/c fan takes two minutes to wind up so it sounds like a gerbal is running on it......... The pool , I work for a pool company, I wouldn't let my dog get in there. I waned to grab a water sample but figured who cares, winter cover is laying out I guess they are getting ready to close it maybe. Do yourself a favor stay somewhere else.
