This place is not all it's cracked up to be. It may work for some people, but it definitely didn't deliver what I needed. Not at all what I was expecting. I'm a stay-at-home mom who hasn't worked in 22 years, and I also happen to be in a wheelchair. I came to Goodwill Career Center thinking that they could help me overcome these obstacles to find a job, but I was apparently mistaken. Everything I asked for, they said no. I had a meeting with Sherry. Immediately, she informed me that she would NOT place me in a job (not even at Goodwill itself), she did NOT know what the guidelines for working on social security benefits were (I would have to call Social Security myself) , she does NOT set up interviews. Basically, in my opinion, she is a human classified. She said she would notify me of job openings and help me fill out applications online. I would also have to take classes on teamwork and workplace safety (I already know that kind of stuff from previous employment). I left the office wondering, "If I have to do everything myself, then what do I need you for?" This may be helpful for some young people who have never been employed but not me.
I do have one positive thing to say, the guy at the front desk was very friendly and kind.

They were friendly and gave me all the help I needed to help me with clothing job placement and they're super nice people ask for Nicky or Adam and Big Jim at the front desk will take care of all your questions so if you want some help and looking for a job go to the Goodwill career center and tell him Chad sent you
