I have gotten several rental cars in my life, from Enterprise, Hertz, and Budget. Budget not only beat the other 2 in price, but the process could not have been any easier or more efficient. The Bowling Green, Ky location is the entire reason I’m giving them 4 stars. There customer service in that office is excellent, helpful, and efficient. It’s the quickest most efficient experience I’ve ever received when renting a car. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because Budget itself as a company doesn’t meet such standards for their customers. In many instances dropping a rental off at a different location than from the pick up is convenient and easier for the customer and at times, possibly their only option. Budget; however, charges you for it. And it’s not a small “inconvenience/convenience” charge either. It was going to be $400 and something for dropping it off at one of their Louisville, Ky locations instead of their Bowling Green, Ky location(123 miles apart) and my total bill for my rental was barely $100. I honestly don’t know of any other rental company doing this to their customers. Especially a rental company as big as Budget. So IF I ever use Budget again, it will ONLY be because their Bowling Green office has great people representing them and great service SOMETIMES supersedes bad company policies. But it’ll be that bad policy that makes me think twice when I get a rental again.

3wks out and still no refund! Ive talked to 5 people and The local office directs me to the 1800#.... Bottomline is they could careless about their customers!

Blake and his team here do a GREAT job. The cars are always extremely clean and well maintained. They always help you get a great deal and are extremely friendly. This is my go to for car rentals. I travel for a living and rent cars often. This place is second to none.

Was told we didn't have to vacuum the car brought it back then they said if yall don't vacuum it's a 400 dollar charge

Counter person was no help at the Nashville airport. Got in at 10PM after long flight. Acted sleepy and irritated that she had to explain anything to me. Upgraded to Jeep and it was a good decision.Returned car to Bowling Green location. Had opposite experience. The young man who took care of me was pleasant and friendly. Car was returned with no problem.

Just don't rent from Budget. Just go ahead and pay a little more at enterprise. First we were pulled over with expired tags. So after 40 minutes of being put into their automated phone system we finally talked to someone that sent us to the nearest budget to exchange cars.After returning home, we were able to get the fuel charge refunded, but credit card is still showing a $70 charge. Customer service couldn't tell me where it was coming from and had me file a ticket online. I received a very confusing email about the issue statingthe amount was what I owed from the original balance. But I pre-paid and was told there were no other fees. I am still waiting on confirmation of the email and a refund.

Charged me an extra $46 for "fuel service" even though I literally filled the vehicle up less than half a mile from where I dropped it off. Also didn't get check in confirmation OR my receipt for two weeks, which is when I noticed the extra charge.* edited to add, the guy who checked me in when I picked up the SUV was super nice and helpful.

Extremely unprofessional location. Locks the doors whenever they feel like it. Tried to show up and pick up a car at 530p when they are scheduled to close at 6p. Nobody at the store and doors locked. Rent from somewhere else, not Avis as they are one in the same. Hertz and enterprise are right in the same area and are much more profession with much better customer service.

Rented us a vehicle that already had some damage. Didn't think it was a big deal. Get 4 hours away and the front starts falling off. We're told to tape it and go to the nearest budget to swap it out. Vehicle wouldn't make it another hour on interstate. Called roadside. Lady at first told us we would have to pay fees to swap out vehicle. I explained what happened and she said she was calling to get us a replacement car. Now we're driving the messed up vehicle another 35 miles to swap the car because they refused to bring us one.

Thank you budget for saving the day! we had a reservation for weeks at enterprise, we were told we might not get the car we wanted, but guaranteed they’d have vehicles after calling multiple times to make sure before the pick up date, only to be told day of that they had none at the moment, never again! Thanks again budget, we were in and out, even got a car we wanted!
