Always friendly and helpful service but what I love most is the cleanliness and organized. Have hard workers with great personalities. Food is great!

Per the owner, black people are not welcome at Thompson's Food Mart. Not sure about other races but I'm fairly certain any minority will be looked upon the same way.

This "convenience" store has it all food wise Outstanding sandwiches and sides. Even several varieties of soft serve ice cream. Customer service is great too. This store may not be considered haute cuisine, but I dare you to walk in, and not walk out with something good to eat.

Best ice cream and quick food in town!! Love the orange dream ice cream, maple hill sandwich and walking tacos. Tourists, this is a hot local spot. Perfect stop for in between tours.

Love this place I go there just to eat love the homeaid banana Ice cream and the walking taco is to die for!Make my fav try to mix vanilla chocolate ? banana ? strawberry ? and pineapple ? ice cream ? then add nuts and sprinkles and some chocolate syrup and you got you a soft serve banana split. With ice cream I. Effin love love ? it there is nothing betterThey had pumpkin pie ice cream and wildly it was so good. Different so I had to try and omg I really liked it. So if u r ever out this way stop in and try there walking taco and there homeaid ice cream you will be like me and just have to stop ? in every payday just to eat lunch or get an ice cream even when it's too cold outside for one....Fyi it right beside the Steven fosters restaurant right besides and we'll I bet you will reather eat at this gas station ⛽ sry you guys....I tell you what if they had. Meat loaf and mashed potatoes and carrots and a grilled ? on the cob with sum garlic salt n lots of butter Then a loaded baked potato with lots n lots of butter and chives and ? bacon bits and some melted cheese ? and some sour cream and then a pork chop sandwich and corndog and some. Polish ? and peppers and onion ?️ with butter and garlic and grilled up and sum of my fav buttery ? lemon pepper chicken ?And something I made up . (I call a thanksgiving left over sandwich ?). ( You take a Hawaiian sweet roll and you put on your stuffing then you add you mashed potatoes and gravy and your turkey and more stuffing and if you want you could add great beans or your sweet potato or your cranberry sauce but I just add more gravy and then the top bun and I tost it and yummy. Hands down it's my best camper cooking left over mean I have ever ever made and I look forward to thanks giving all year just so I can have one of these sandwich my self. Oh I can't waite I'm telling you if y'all add this to y'all menu hands down y'all will have so many ordering this at least add. In November. Have a seasonal menu y'all will have more comusters

Thompsons has been a staple of Bardstown for years and years, and for good reason. Always friendly, helpful employees greeting you and serving some of the best "fast" food you can get. The inventory is always stocked and with many items you can't find at the other guys.It's worth the drive. Go out of your way if you have to and go to the best convenience store in town.
