Ma’ and Dad always trusted them, and after over a decade having them take care of my taxes, and even an amendment one time, I trust them to take care of this stuff.

My parent's have been going to Sutherland's all of my life, and as a result, I started going there when I began working. Overall, I've been pretty satisfied with them over the years. You simply drop off your taxes and a couple weeks later they call you when your taxes are ready. After this year, I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy... I got my taxes done before the cut-off period, and when I got them back I realized that they didn't do Indiana's taxes -- just Kentucky's (I work in KY but live in IN). They tried to tell me I didn't need to do Indiana's. I knew this was wrong because when I went through the process on Turbotax just to get an idea of what I'd be getting back it makes me do both. Also, the prior year I had someone do them (correctly) in Lexington, however, I didn't want to make the trek back to Lexington. I should've! Anyway, over the phone the receptionist talked to Trudy, and she asked me to bring in the prior year's tax summary so they could see how they did them. They made copies and I haven't been able to get a hold of them since. I've left messages and no one has called me back. In June I finally gave up on hearing from them. It's July and I'm still trying to get their errors fixed by someone else who is an actual CPA, who also charges CPA prices. If they'd been up front and said, "Hey, we're not really familiar with this -- sorry we can't help!" I would've had more respect for them. Ignoring phone calls and not admitting your mistakes is how you lose business. Just saying...
