Judy, the President is a horrible person. She continuously called my husband and myself to yell and act belligerent whenever you ask her anything. She told me that I would not shut up. She is incapable of her duties. They obviously don’t want our money because we had 5 appointments and she was rescheduling them all. Not us. You get rude responses from the texting volunteers. Judy had the audacity to tell me that she had never seen my name on a donation check when I told her that I’m a donor. My family and I have always made anonymous donations when we make our family donations. Even if I did put my name on the donation she’s still a nasty, rude, disrespectful vile human being who doesn’t care about anyone else but herself. She’s been reported to the county executives and the fiscal court.I recommend going somewhere else. She’ll move your appointments and call you and your loved ones to scream, insult and tell you that you don’t matter. She’s called my husband several times for no reason whatsoever. Hope she’s removed from her position.

I found the sweetest black ypu.g male cat at a car dealership in Louisville, my former home city.(I moved to Bardstown after my husband passed away.)I brought the kitty home with me, he was a Dumpster kitty the car salesman said was being bullied by a much larger older cat.I wanted his shots, license and him to be neutered as he is part of my family now and will be an indoor cat.The staff at the Neutoring clinic are so nice, accommodating, professional and just really nice ladies.Thank you for welcoming me and my new addition to my family to Bardstown. You guys were awesome ?

We got our 6 cats/kittens fixed at the Humane Society of Nelson and they were great honestly. They did an awesome job and they gave us a great "bulk" price. Between having so many cats, getting them all done at the same time and being low income we qualified for a price reduction. They are a wonderful group of people whom you can clearly tell truly care about the animals who come through their facility for any reason.

The people are very helpful and kind except one, the manager possibly named Victoria. She is the one answering the phone mostly and she’s a terrible communicator. I got very frustrated with her trying to understand and all she kept doing was repeating herself. I guess that’s why she works with animals because she cannot relate to humans. Either way they offer a lot of services at a very decent rate-just avoid the manager if you need anything explained. She’s very rude.

We called to see about adopting a kitten and were told adoptions are rare. They sell the big dogs somewhere in Canada and euthanize the others. Their websites ask for donations and I'm not sure what they need the money for if all theyre doing is killing the animals they can't resale to Canada.

From the time of making the appointment a week before, the manager was rude and wasn't very helpful. First, I was needing assistance with bringing in a whole litter.. i was never told a price of the assistance total. I knew the price they spayed and neutered but I didn't know what the price with assistance was...she informed me I DID infact get a price because it was on the website. Well, the price of the spay and neuter is on the website...and then it said text a number for assistance. I told her I had texted her acouple days before about the assistance but wasn't given a price. After dealing with a text confirmation obviously from the same manager about surrendering my pets instead of the assistance, I told them that I wasnt wanting to "surrender" them if I can get help getting them spayed i told her i was told by a few people that if you have a cat that was a stray or whatever and it had kittens they would do it for really low price. She asked me "who told me that" lol "because it isn't true"..which is fine...I was just trying to get that info from the jump...but was never told..when I first walked in though... one lady, who was actually really nice, told me we could talk to the manager and see if she would do another 5 dollars per cat bringing the total to 80, i had only brought 60, but I would've paid 70 but she insisted she couldn't do any lower than 80 because of supplies...but one cat already had shots so I just needed one fixed and the other fixed with shots...i let them know all of this on the registration form...i just didn't understand why we didnt have this conversation before I came? Or why wasn't i told assistance is only 5 dollars? I only asked if 10 dollars could be taken off instead of 5 because i was bringing in 4 cats total...2 this week and 2 next...since its apparently "up to the manager" ...this whole thing was to try to be a responsible cat owner. She kept saying the same thing over and over. She got annoyed it seemed like, wasnt trying to help...before I lost my cool with this woman who is CLEARLY used to talking to animals and not humans.. i just said forget it....andd i got my cats and i left, While walking out...she accused me of THEFT because they had a blue tag on my kennel from where the other lady had already tagged the cats, I had no idea it was on there...I made sure she got that tag back because it seemed really important to her business. It was unprofessional. It was uncalled for. The attitude was disgusting.

I want to Thank Brooke at the Nelson County Humane Society for being so Thoughtful and Compassionate, while my husband and I said Our Goodbyes to our Precious Mazie! I wish there were more People in the World like you, Brooke. Thank you for being there, during our Time of Grief. You are Truly Amazing!!
