“No stone has been left unturned by the owner of this hotel! It starts with the outside maintenance. Typically, unemployed hotels have dirty walkways with gum etc. such to the cement. Not here. The owner has stripped the cement painted it and covered the stairs in a coating with flake chips that resembles terrazzo flooring. The rooms are super clean! The bathroom has a built in night light, a beday, and salon selectives body wash, shampoo and conditioner dispensers on the shower/bathtub wall. Breakfast is in a large separate building by the pool. My only suggestion is the bed pillows which are all new but very high and tough on the neck. A solution may be to remove some of the stuffing and sew them back up giving guests a choice of a fuller & less full pillow. I only wish that I had taken pictures to show you all how well maintained this property is.”

“We booked a room online and stayed at the Talbott Inn, operated by The Old Talbott Tavern, which is in a separate building (an alley separates both). It was our first bed & breakfast experience and we really enjoyed ourselves. The building was safe, beautiful, well kept and our room was clean and very cozy. We stayed in room 204, which had a great view of the center of town. The mini fridge didn’t work very well but it wasn’t a big deal. We were on a haunted historical vacation checking out the old haunted buildings and the surrounding old architecture. Next store, at The Old Talbott Tavern is haunted so we were intrigued to take a self-guided tour of the upstairs, which is free and they encourage you to check it all out. There was cool historical pieces of history up there. During breakfast I inquired to the waitress about if it’s really haunted and she said yes, and that the storage area in the basement is where a lot of activity is noticed by the staff. We were also told that the basement also has remnants of the slave shackles back from the early 1800’s. And the innkeeper next store at the Old Jailers Inn told us that this building is connected through an underground cavern to their property and to the center of town where the courthouse used to be. It was an awesome experience seeing this original stagecoach stop from the late 1700’s and the downtown was beautiful with the old time feel and gorgeous old homes. I’d definitely recommend this place.Rooms: The rooms at the Inn (not tavern) were very quiet, clean, comfy, safe and easily accessible.Nearby activities: The whole area is historic and there’s lots of buildings that are haunted because of how old the area is. If you like old places this is a great spot to check out.Walkability: The downtown area felt safe and walkable late in the evening for my daughter and I.Food & drinks: We ate at a cute restaurant that was a 2-3 minute walk away, across from the Jailers Inn.”

“Included breakfast. Just on the outside of Bardstown. Easy to get to all the attractions.Rooms: Several room options are available. This one had a fireplace and separate seating area.Nearby activities: So much to do in Bardstown. Some of my favorite places are Haven Hill, the Getz bourbon museum, Bardstown Burgers, and Talbot Tavern. More distilleries and wineries in the area. Great boutiques in downtown Bardstown.Walkability: This hotel is within walking distance to a few restaurants. The Thai place across the street was good.”
