“I didn't run the whole store, but I had a fine experience with the folks at the service desk. They greeted me before I even made it to the counter and helped me through everything I needed smoothly and quickly. Excellent customer service. One of my first Kohl's experiences and won't be my last.”

“I have a love/hate relationship with Hot Topic. I love the majority of Hot Topic. The music is ??, the vibes are ?, the shirts are usually on point.. but the issue I have with HT: if I see a shirt I absolutely love, they generally don't have my size. And that just really sucks.”

“Many years ago, I worked in a mall. And when I wasn't working in that mall, I was often at that mall. Malls were once a central part of American culture & I've lamented for years how they've been losing ground. A core store in most malls for decades has been Spencer's. Kind of a more risque Hot Topic, it was somewhat taboo, with its off colour greeting cards, bikini girl posters & novelty gag merchandise. But there were often things, heck, there still are often things that are exclusive to them that make me visit every now & then. That wasn't the case today, as I had no particular shopping agenda, but just felt like browsing at this mall I'd never been to before.”

“I shop at JCP in Ashland when I'm home for Christmas. It's a decent size store, well organized, and I can find gifts for most of my family. I asked my nieces and sister to meet me at the store so they could help me pick out clothes for the kids and their husband's. They were having a sale on most everything, plus I found an extra 15% off coupon on the JCP website. We found outfits for all the kids ranging in ages from 3 to 15, including Disney. I bought my sister and her husband flannel shirts and for my niece's husband's, UK t-shirts. I waited about two minutes in line for checkout. The cashier was fast and friendly. I'll see you again in December for my holiday deals.”

“UPDATE (3/25/2023):I know this was a huge endeavor, and I thank all the staff there for going the distance, so I changed my review to 5 stars! I saw today that there was a full sweep of the store being done for quality checks. Each clothing item was looked over, and if they were not up to standard, they were put into carts for removal. This greatly improves the shopping experience, as it frees up more space so you don't have to fight against the cramped clothes, easier to notice pieces that fit your style, and most of all, there's a lot more confidence that the clothing is in good shape! There were a lot of really interesting items in the store today, too-- a lehenga skirt, for instance!---There should be better quality control for donations. I'd say over half the items on the racks have stains or damage. Granted, that responsibility falls more on the person who donates rather than the people who work intake. C'mon folks, this place isn't meant for trash. If you would be embarrassed to give it to a friend, in the item's current state, then you should not be donating it either.I also don't like that the prices for clothing are no longer standardized. There was a Victoria's Secret chemise I got that should have been priced the same as any sleepwear, but since it was from Victoria's Secret, it was $10. I hadn't realized until I was purchasing-- still bought it because I really liked the print, but this store should be about affordability. When I was young, during lean times, Goodwill was a God-send. Now the pricing is becoming too much for the people it's meant to provide relief for, and that's worrisome. However, the staff there are very sweet and hard-working. So I hope their pay has increased along with the prices. If not, then the staff need to negotiate higher pay since Goodwill's clearly making higher profits.”
