“My husband and I recently purchased some doors for our new home. We recommend asking for Jim. He was a huge help in going over pricing and the wide selection to choose from.”
“This is a good business. Has the atmosphere of hardware stores of my youth. The staff helped me as soon as I entered, they have a wide selection to choose from and the prices were reasonable. It was clean and well laid out.”
“Doug is the man! Great service and products. He helped me pick out a new grill after my old one got trashed by a storm. Didn't try to upsell me - just needed something to cook food and last a long time. Same prices as the big box stores with the extra touch of free delivery and haul-a-way. Shop local, buy local. There aren't too many gems like this left.”

1675 Watterson Trail, Louisville“Ordering online was extremely easy. They had exactly what I needed for my commercial mower, a Scag hurricane mulch kit. The product came packaged in the proper labeled package in an excellent condition. Shipping was very fast, I was expecting close to a week and it came in four days as the item was shipped the morning after I ordered it.Would definitely buy from them again when I’m in need. Being a commercial lawn business, it’s hard to find anything in stock locally so unfortunately getting things shipped and put it on yourself is typically the best route.”
“I’ve been here so many times and always have a good experience. Store is clean and well-stocked. Employees are always friendly and knowledgeable and very willing to help!”
“We went to have keys made but saw whole lot more. Friendly staff answered all our questions. We also looked at keyless entry front door locks and they had a good selection. I went into the ladies room and had so much fun because they have a smart toilet by Toto in there. It's the kind that when you go in the lid lifts upThe seat is heated. It cleans you, it dries you, And, it cleans the toilet. Loved it now I want one in my bathroom.”
“A good place to purchase propane for your grill. They also sell grills if you need one. Considered taking a star off because you have to pay for a full tank regardless of any propane left in your tank. But the service is so good. Five stars.”
“Harbour Freight has some cheap low quality tools but has some high quality tools that are quite a bit more expensive but are still a bargain for what you get. A good place to check out.”

1850 S Hurstbourne Pkwy #148, Louisville“Simply put, I just love coming here.I think I've interacted with three different employees across my visits. Every time, everyone has been SO helpful and informative. I always feel very heard when I explain when I'm working toward, and end up leaving feeling like I have all the information and tools I need to accomplish my project. I've never felt like I'm being over-sold things that I don't need or that aren't quite right for me... when I come away buying more than I expected, it's 100% my own fault lol.But the thing I really want to express is that the folks here have never made me feel talked-down to or stupid. I come to this shop as a woman that is new to the craft, but know I could probably be in the hobby for 20 years and still run the risk of having men assuming I'm out of my element. No one at this Woodcraft location has ever made me grimace because they've over-explained something. No one here has made me feel like they doubt whether I'm up to the job, or talked over my ideas about what I'd like to try. My preferred learning strategy around crafting things is to "wing it" and happily pivot if I fail, and no one was rolling their eyes at my currently less-than-professional setup and skill level.I wish that my comfort as a woman here doesn't feel like such a notable dynamic, but it is. So I'm EXTREMELY appreciative for the good vibes, and for the help!! Thanks!!!!”

9608 Taylorsville Rd, Jeffersontown“This was my second time using these guys for a tool rental. I highly recommend them for whatever you may need. Competitive rates and very reasonable and friendly customer service.”
“Great place and great service. They have everything you'll need for electrical jobs with really good prices. 10/10 would recommend for contractors or people like me doing their own projects!”
“Somehow this little hardware store always has exactly what I need. From the exact size bolt, to a back door threshold seal in a 60 year old house to a water spigot rebuilt kit for a 40 year old faucet. I'm always amazed that they have what the big box stores don't. It's a shame that they no longer carry propane or I'd never need any other home improvement store. I brought them the old frames from my screen windows and they made them look brand new for a great price too.”
“I have been working with the St. Matthews location for adding a ToTo bidet to my current washroom. First it was so nice to be able to find a brick and mortar store where I could actually see the product instead of a bunch of pictures on the internet. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. My buying experience was great.”
“I’ve rented from Arts Rental multiple times. The Equipment was always available and cheaper than Home Depot. Highly recommend Arts Rental any time you need a piece of equipment. They also a lot of hard to find specialty pieces.”
“I had a great experience purchasing a Big Green Egg with Watts. The owner let me take a catalog, and I asked him for various price quotes which I received promptly. It was a significant order including a large custom table. The order was ready within a week of being placed. I discovered I needed to remove some items from the back of my truck to accommodate the table, so the owner sent an employee in a truck to follow me home from the store so I didn't have to make a second trip.In short, price and customer service were excellent. I stop by frequently for business purchases as well as buying charcoal, etc. for my smoker and have never been disappointed.”
“Kind of what you'd expect from a hardware store, not overly impressed, but I grew up in a hardware store about five times larger than this, so what can I say?”
“While Home Depot may have it's issues as a company, I always have good luck at this store. They always have what I need and the employees are super helpful and friendly.”

10301 Westport Rd, Louisville“Father's Day and an exhaust fan return brought us to this Home Depot, a location I haven't visited. Like other spots they had a huge parking lot. We were greeted quickly and our return took only a couple of minutes. My husband wanted a trimmer for his Father's Day gift. He'd done his research and one was in the cart after another five minutes. While waiting for him I was impressed with their line of grills and smokers. We browsed their paint colors for awhile. They had many options and the cards were nicely organized for shoppers. We grabbed a few options to take home to view under our lights. Checkout was quick and easy. Gift cards were available near checkout, and for options beyond Home Depot.”

964 Breckenridge Ln, Louisville“When I was checking out, I realized I grabbed the wrong product. Emma was checking me out at the time. Instead of pointing me in the correct direction and wander around looking for help, Emma walked me to the area, helped me find the sales associate for that section, and also helped me look for the correct product. This was one of the best interactions I have had at a store. The store was extremely busy but Emma taking the time to help created a great/memorable customer interaction! Emma is a Rockstar employee!!”

2100 Bashford Manor Ln, Louisville“In the Battle of the Big Box Hardware Store, Lowe's has always come out on top for me, the orange one down the street a little lower on the list.I've come to rely on Lowe's for do-it-yourself quick fixes to larger projects. They almost always have the parts/pieces/equipment I need, and often the correct advice.Every major appliance purchase has come from Lowe's, and not only was it at a good price, but also came with great installation. We ended up at this location because we were looking for a Christmas decoration at one location but it was out of stock...but they had it at this location! While I generally bemoan retail outlets that display Christmas stuff too early in the season, I can't deny that this visit didn't actually kind of kick off my Christmas Spirit!I'd like to note and pass along that Lowe's has a great Military discount program. You have to sing up for it in advance and provide proof, but the discount is good for 10% off of just about everything as long as it's not discounted or marked down, including appliances. The orange box store down the road tops that discount off at anything priced over $500, and now has a yearly limit if $400/years. #NotCoolThe Military discount, while part of the reason I prefer to shop at Lowe's, isn't the only reason. They tend to be well staffed and the people, in our experience, have always been great. The drive to this Lowe's is probably double my drive to the orange box store down the road, but is very much worth it.”

“The store its self is great, I was a little disappointed with the fact that they lock up a large portion of their equipment. I had to get help to buy a lawn mower, weedwacker, and leaf blower. There were tons of employees all over the store, but none really seemed to want to help. When I did get help, it took about 20 minutes for the lady to come over, get the item down, then walk to the front of the store. The store was clean and well organized.”
“I’m writing this review on google as I let the date lapse for the survey link on my receipt.
I recently purchased a refrigerator from Home Depot on Westport Rd in Louisville and couldn’t be happier or more appreciative of the great service I received from Caetlynn. From the start, she was very personable and knowledgeable about the products and eager to assist. Then, later, went above and beyond to help accommodate my specific situation.
The short of it, if I had a business involving customer service, Caetlynn would certainly be someone I would want representing my company.
On a separate note, due to the great experience I had at HD with the fridge, i just purchased a lawn mower from there as well, driving past a certain blue & white DIY store in the process.”
“This location is very well kept and well organized. It is easy to find what you need. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Home Depot and Lowe’s are obviously very similar, but I prefer this Lowe’s location over the Home Depot down the road. Only thing I don’t love is that the parking lot has been a little messy the few times I have been there.”
“the absolute best hardware store in Kentucky. The staff goes above and beyond and customer service is off the charts. Truly some of the nicest people and extremely knowledgeable. can't recommend enough.”
