These people are garbage. I watched as the owners refused to sell a few (the guy wanted MAYBE 4) boxes of ammo to a guy from California. Whether the ammo really was for his brother in Kansas or not, there's absolutely no law preventing the sale of ammo to someone purely for residing in a different state. Had they been friendly, upfront, cordial, basically courteous or even barely professional I wouldn't be wasting time warning you off about these worthless people or their overpriced store.

It was a joy to visit Home on the Range, Great store Great people, only problem is I wish i would have found them earlier. They had everything I needed and by my surprise they even had a Magazine I had been looking for years to find. I caint wait to go back and look around, like a box of chocolates you never know what you will get.

Had some time to kill and decided to stop and browse in this shop. The fella working was very pleasant to gab with and was more than happy to let me handle any of the guns I was interested in. Some shops are stuck in the 50's and think dry firing is going to break a modern gun. This guy encouraged it though and actually knew what a good trigger feels like.I ended up buying a gun I wasn't even planning to just to support the shop. Good gun shops are sadly rare and I hope this place stays around for a long time.

This place was kinda weird. Never been to a place that a salesman couldn't recommend a powder or bullet when plenty in stock. I never in my life felt like my money was no good. I believe it's a small town circle that only interested in doing business with locals. If you don't live there don't bother. Strangers not welcome. That's the vibe at Home on the Range. But that's everywhere in Winfield KS. Rudest town in Kansas.
