This older woman who works here is extremely rude. She has absolutely no compassion or anything. She's very disrespectful. I called them asking if I'd be able to re-adopt a surrender, she said it depends on the situation. I explained that we brought our kitten to the vet to get put down because we thought she was sick and we can't afford extremely expensive vet bills. When we took her to the vet, they called the humane society and then said "they'll be here to pick her up" without giving us an option. So i was calling to see if we could re-adopt her. She said no and told me I was lying and kept interrupting me. We've also had many bad experiences with our pets health. One dog we got from here had a uti, the other had worms and her incision from being fixed got extremely irradiated and caused issues, leading to her having to be taken to the vet. Another cat we got here, her incision from being fixed got extremely bad, it was like an open wound for a while before it finally healed. Recommend talking to the young blonde woman, she's a darling. And I recommend getting documentation of the animals medical history and whats been done to help them. Please don't let this stop you from adopting from here, I LOVE all my animals I've adopted from here. Just don't talk to the old woman and get medical documents.

I have a friend who had selected two kittens in the month of May and waited until Friday when he brought both kittens home. He had the kittens home and in one day a kitten passed away. They were both 16 weeks old, so one passes away within a day of him owning it. It did not look well it was skinny it was lethargic and did not look right.The kitten passed away within one day! The gentleman called the Humane Society told them what had happened their reply was “you signed a contract when you took the cat away it is not our responsibility. Basically you have no recourse. Also they have not refunded his money and they told him that he could not have another kitten. His response was I will put in a review as I am obviously not pleased and the ladies response was “oh, I’m sure you will.” This man was very attached to this kitten, even though he had only had her for one day; and is very upset of losing her. There was no compassion no, we’re sorry that happened, just a rude lady on the other end of the phone. I would suggest to potential adopters That you get in writing that the animal has been medically, checked by a Vet and given a clean bill of health. Not given an animal that either was sick and and or has not actually been given a clean bill of health. I think this is deplorable and not in the best interest of any animal being given a good loving home I am sickened by this whole thing! Be very aware of their could not care attitude! And you should have some recourse if your pet died!

Very caring and knowledgeable people at this shelter. The shelter was clean and tidy.
I was able to foster the dog I wanted before I committed to adopting him.
They try very hard to match the animal to the person.

I was getting frustrated because I didn't know what I was supposed to do if I was supposed to bring the dog in to get fixed or not well, I finally got a hold of someone a very nice lady that helped me. They are working with me to get these little ticks under control. I appreciate the help. A good place when you can't afford the high prices of vets. these people want to help because they care.
