I purchased a vehicle from Yost a few a months ago that I have been more than satisfied with. Now a few months later, I returned to Yost for additional services. Once again, I am quite satisfied with both the product and service. Chad's professional assistance concurrently with his excellent and compassionate care will keep me coming back over and over again. I am extremely disappointed and disgusted with this place. They acted like the stereotypical mechanics who try to scam you and are the reason people are scared to go to the mechanic. My brothers 04 accord has a minor head gasket leak which we are aware of and have just taken temporary measures to fix as the car is just a beater anyways. All my brother took the car in for was a coolant flush and refill (as this unfortunately needs to be done once every few months with the head gasket issue). When he took it in they pointed out that there was some sealant in the radiator, which we were aware of and that it could come out during the flush. Fine no problem just flush it and fill it up, can always add more sealant later. But nope, they decided to start hassling my brother (who doesn't know cars) and started to pull all the spark plugs and tell him how bad the head gasket was and that it wouldn't keep driving and he needed to shell $3,000 out ASAP to fix it. They then got in the car and cranked it WITH NO SPARK PLUGS, to try and trick him into thinking the car won't run anymore. This is the point my brother reached out to me and sent me a picture of the "4 things they removed from my engine". All of the plugs. I told him toDemand them to IMMEDIATELY put them back in and you are going to pay and leave. They THEN told him, that his car might start now but there is a 99% chance it doesn't start or run again afterwards, again trying to scare him. Sure enough they put the spark plugs back in and guess what, car started right up and ran fine. My brother pulled over turned the car off and it turned right back on fine, obviously. I would steer clear of this place by any means necessary ESPECIALLY if you don't know much about cars, as I bet they try to take advantage of people often. Again this place is extremely disappointing, unprofessional and practices poor ethical standards. I wish I didn't live so far or I'd love to go talk to the mechanics in person. I'm just glad my brother brought this to my attention before he was tricked into shelling our thousands for issues that were not present NOR ever asked to be looked at...

Broke a brake line while working on my truck, called them the next morning had it towed there and they had me set up by the end of the day super happy with the turnaround time and they gave me!

My bonus son is attending college at Friends University from out of state. The first week of arriving in Kansas, he started having some issues with his low beam lights malfunctioning and we needed it taken care of immediately. Yost Auto Service went above and beyond their call of duty to take care of him. I am very grateful that we now have a place that we can rely on for future issues that might occur. Disappointed, lied too, and strung along. Let me explain. I called Yost Auto Sales today on a 2006 Toyota Tundra pickup at 9:00am. The owner Russ answered the phone and we discussed the truck and all it’s features. I requested pictures of the truck since it was traded in just the day before and pictures were not on their website. Russ told me that it was snowing and was happy to do so, but they had to clean it up being it was sitting in a pile of snow and that no one was currently looking at the truck so we had all kinds of time and he would put me first in line. After a couple hours I hadn’t seen any pictures come through so I called him. He once again told me about the snow and nothing was going on due to the inclement weather and would have the pictures to me soon. Around 1:30pm a salesman called me and told me that the pictures were ready but I should know that another person had called the day before and test drove it at lunch putting them before me. I explained how the owner, Russ, told me otherwise and I was waiting on pictures and was the only one looking at the truck currently. They then told me the other person individual had til the end of the day to put a deposit down ultimately doing so and cutting me completely out of the deal. I say all that to say this. A man’s word is all he has in this life. You can’t string two people along waiting to see if one of the two deals will work out on the same vehicle. I went to the bank and spent the day getting my finances in order to buy this truck based on what Russ told me. If this is the way they do business, please beware and don’t let them put you through what they did to me.

May 10,2021 - Russell Yost doesn’t keep his promises. My best friend paid off her car and has to hire an attorney to get her title! She is a poor widow. A widow! If he treats old women like this, how is he going to treat you? His father & older brother across the street are honest people. Russell doesn’t even deserve a 1 star rating!

Took my car here for a diagnostic check. Good response via phone and then the front desk upon arrival. Good engagement with their specialist for my specific make/model. I appreciated their quick and honest feedback when the concern I had couldn't be replicated and we were able to confirm the vehicle's road worthiness. Point is they didn't take advantage of me, up-sell me, or do anything dishonest--rather they were very honest and forthright with information during my interaction. Good notification for pickup and good engagement with the front desk upon checkout. Highly recommend.
