I lived here for a year and had mixed experiences. Like others have stated, residents have no reserved parking, so you are unlikely to get a spot before 5pm on a weekday, as the reserved spots are strictly monitored and they will not hesitate to tow you.The other residents are mostly friendly when I lived here. It can get a bit loud in evenings/weekends, mostly people gaming loud/yelling in their apartments, but nothing too distressing and usually ends by 10pm.The workout room, last I tried to use it, still did not have cleaning supplies or water in the empty dispenser. I ended up getting a gym membership instead.Maintenance are so amazing and kind and the property manager is a really good guy. I had a few issues in my unit with the roof leaking water on the floor from the ceiling twice after intense rain and they got it fixed relatively quickly. That being said, this is an old building, so as nice as the modifications are, it is still going to have old building problems. The paint in my bathroom had peeled from humidity, the windows are original (and they cannot replace them because the building is on the historical registry) so in the winter I had issues with the windows freezing solid and the apartment getting extremely cold, and condensation when humid. This only happened during a handful of blizzards. Also to be noted - the windows are sealed shut and you are not allowed to open them (it is in the lease) which is a minor bummer on nice days. Appliances are up to date and very nice. If you live in one of the units with exposed rafters, they gather a TON of dust and there’s not a good way to dust it since the ceilings would require a very high ladder. When I moved in I had thought they’d clean it between residents, but when I arrived, I notice they were full of giant dust bunnies. I asked the leasing agent about this and she said “we don’t clean that, that’s your problem” and blew me off (I don’t believe this particular agent works here anymore. She also had forgotten to have my apartment cleaned before move-in. I alerted the property manager though and he had it cleaned very quickly and made the situation right.)Safety can be a bit of a concern at night. Most people keep to themselves but occasionally someone may get aggressive in the parking garage or will slip into the building when the gate is left open and I had a couple of unnerving incidents with individuals who had gotten in but alerted management and they handled it. A few residents had their cars were broken into, so it is important to park where there is camera coverage (if you can find a spot.) On one occasion, a man attacked two girls in their vehicle and kicked their doors in while they were inside. My mom witnessed the attack when she was visited and was able to get them help, but it was very scary, so it’s important to be vigilant. The trains going by at night can be loud but I didn’t mind it and grew to find it comforting. However, in the station parking lot there are frequently large gatherings of people with loud cars that do burnouts and get really loud at night, sometimes until 2am or later, mostly in the warm months. If you have packages delivered, there is a strong chance delivery folks (particularly Amazon) can’t get in and will need you to let them in. So if you’re not home, it’s possible you won’t get your package on time.Overall, I appreciated my time here. However, for the price point, some improvements could be made, particularly with secure, reserved parking, as other similar apartments in the area provide this already at comparable rent price points. It’s a nice apartment with a good property manager. If you don’t leave much/are able to walk most places, it’s probably more convenient.

Took two tours and explained my situation and they told me they help with public housing and then weeks later I call because I haven’t heard anything and they tell me I need 3x the income for the apt and that they no longer accept section 8 housing after already dealing with a lay off and waiting weeks to hear back. And I saw a few roaches. Do not recommend.

I’m not usually a complainer, so this is hard for me but I’ll try to keep it short & sweet. Maintenance is truly so helpful. It’s a beautiful apartment building. I lived here for 18 months and loved my space. The amenities are good but could be better and maintained. The patio has broken furniture and no where to put trash. It sucks walking on rocks everyday with your dogs. The shuffleboard has never really had salt on it and the workout room doesn’t have anything to clean the equipment off after you use it & the culligan tank has never been full in the workout room since I’ve lived here. But that’s all little things…I’ve had a lot of issues with previous management at this building but it’s been better since we’ve had new. Lots of car break ins with little help of getting camera footage. No parking during the week… doesn’t feel safe leaving the gate at night but we have nowhere to throw dog waste away except the trash enclosure and have to go out there anyway.I actually wish management sent out a survey every 6 months or so so we could bring some of these things up. There are other things but I’ll stop there. Wishing them the best and hope it gets better!

To start; I have been a resident here for almost two years. My main complains about these apartments are the noise and the WiFi setup. There have been improvements since my last review and I have been assured that more are in the works. Ultimately though my biggest complaints haven't been addressed yet. Granted, there is not much that can be done about noise short of ripping out the walls and putting in soundproofing. That said -- the building's pet policy is pretty relaxed, which I have zero problems with so long as people keep their pets well mannered and cleaned up after. But time after time I get barked at while walking down the hallway or I can hear barking from a neighboring unit. The walls are pretty thin and the ceilings are open so if your neighbors are anything short of whisper quiet you will hear them too. For me; this is worth one star. My number one issue with SWA is the WiFi. It's a terrible system that is set up like a hotel so all residents share a public WiFi network and you access the internet with a password. I do hope that this changes in the future because it's such an easy fix. I understand there are administrative issues preventing it from changing right now but until it does I'm afraid I have to nark on it. For me; this is worth two stars. The location is really nice with it being right in Naftzger park. It's just a short walk down Douglas to get to Old Town and lots of restaurants and shops. The aesthetic of the building is nice if you're into the rustic, industrial look. Parking is OK. Public parking is not great but I usually don't have problems finding a space. It only becomes a problem on weekends and when there are events at the nearby Intrust Bank Arena. Appliances are modern and you can't beat having a whole washer and dryer to yourself! The amenities are minimal: A small gym and a common room. But the building actually isn't very big so it would be hard to fit much more. There is a back patio but being right by the BNSF mainline there are trains going by constantly. You really don't notice them much inside but out on the patio it is super loud.

Does not return calls after multiple times of leaving messages. I really wanted to see these apartments and was very disappointed on how management deals with customer service.
