I wanted to buy 3 boxes of Pokémon cards. The owner had 4 boxes factory sealed and verbally set the price at around $300. I said that was way over the market price of $40 per box. Eventually he clarified that he was intending to sell the entire pack of 4 instead of the individual boxes I wanted. Reluctantly, I agreed to pay $300+ for the whole pack even though I only needed 3 (meaning I still paid nearly double the market price per box).
During checkout, I casually asked if they offered a military discount. The owner jumped back in to exclaim that the price I was paying was already discounted and he rudely shouted "You want a discount on top of a discount?!"
I get that they specialize in sports cards, but for this Pokémon set there was no clear pricing system and they were not earnest with their customer. Overall, very unprofessional. I won't be going back.

As a modern sports card collector I have been to several cards shop in the state of Kansas. Have tried coming here several times giving them multiple chances for my business and always leave disappointed with the willingness to make a deal. New owners are very focused on the people with deeper pockets and not the average joe.
