Purchased a new puppy during the %60 off sale, to get to the point you’re telling me with the 60% discount he was $3800? Seriously? A mini dachshund 10 weeks old original price was $6080 bucks? I’m happy with the dog but a week later he developed a horrible cough and seems to be pumped full of shots (17 SHOTS FOR A 10 WEEK OLD PUPPY) took him to a vet that PETLAND doesn’t work with (Our local vet HATES Petland). I wouldn’t recommend anyone buying any pets from these KIDS working here. To sum it up they are Inexperience and unprofessional. It was a very teenage experience when we are about to spend ADULT money. Pretty sketchy how a credit check only accepts you when you go through a Petland sponsored credit union. Don’t be SIGNING 18 pages of paperwork.
I understand the excitement of getting a new pet. But if you are reading this please purchase a pet with someone who has experience and seems to care where they work. It’s just not a place I would recommend to anyone especially when you are finding a new pet for your home. Truly disappointed with what PETLAND should stand for.

Loved the shop, so clean, the staff opened the door for me, I'm disabled! The staff also helped me locate the dog medicine I needed and the pig ears for my SD girl!

Staff is rude and unprofessional, nothing but young kids who dont look like they know what they are doing. their attitudes were very negative and talking to them felt passive aggressive. I did better looking for stuff on my own then asking for help, they just need a whole new team.

Great service the people that worked there just so nice and it’s not like any other place where they get mad at you if you hold the pets

I did not go here. I will never go here. "Brokers" just get them the dogs from puppy mills so you don't have to feel guilty that this dog and thousands of others have lived their lives in sheer misery, neglect, and abuse.
I was next door at the very lovely Dollar Tree.

A month ago our youngest begged me to go play with dogs at the humane society, I couldn’t find the time to get out there so I asked if she would settle for Petland. She played with lots of pups before we came across the most precious faced Cavalier King Charles puppy and instantly fell in love with him. The very next day I was told that I needed to start thinking about quality of life for my first baby, Capone while at his vet appt. My heart was broken and my sweet husband wanted to try and help it, so that weekend we brought home the puppy from Petland. Hoping he would get close to Capone on his last month with us and that our new baby could help relieve some of that pain when Capone crossed the rainbow bridge.
Within a few days it was clear there was something going on with him, it was Memorial Day so vets were closed. We were told per our warranty that we had to take him to their vet in order for things to be covered if there was anything wrong. That Tuesday we did and found out the he had Giardia, a very wicked intestinal parasite. This is highly contagious to both dogs and also humans. He went on lockdown and I cleaned all day long trying to make sure it didn’t spread, we finished up 10 days of medication, retested and he was still positive. 2nd round of medication was finished and their vet supposedly retested and said he was clear, 3 days later there is to be another check and he was clear again according to this vet. I knew he wasn’t ok because he had bloody diarrhea, and when I voiced my concerns to their vet I was ignored like I wasn’t even in the room speaking to her. The next day I had to take Capone to be put to sleep, and I brought in a stool sample from our puppy so that our vet could check it and of course he was still positive for Giardia. So we started round 3 of antibiotics this time for 14 days. We then had further testing done that came back two nights ago and this puppy has multiple severe parasites and is positive for a bunch of other bacteria and viral infections. Again, all of these parasites can be given to other animals but also humans! Yesterday he was back in the vet because of throwing up blood and his hair falling out, all due to how messed up his insides are and all the medication he has been on for 30 days now. I have had to deal with the heartache of losing Capone, but now also in fear of losing our new baby because we just keep getting hit with something new every few days. My heart hurts, I’m mentally, physically, and emotionally drained.
Learn from us… DO NOT BUY DOGS from Petland, they are sick!!! These parasites found in poop and sharing water are highly contagious and if you don’t do round the clock cleaning, disinfecting, and treatments they will never go away!!! Ask any reputable vet about them or even just google it! Do not ever use Animal Health Center vet, this is the vet Petland makes you use and they don’t care at all about the health of these puppies and in fact claims to go there twice a week to check on them so she knowingly lets these dogs sit there sick and infecting all the other dogs. Don’t go in there to hold or play with these dogs because you’re putting yourself and kids at risk of catching things you would never even think about! I went in to Petland after all of this to get owner information and walked the puppy wall and EVERY single puppy had diarrhea that looked exactly like our pups. Our puppy now has 4 medications he takes every morning and night, one of which will be long term possibly even permanent. We thought we were safe after talking to the manager about the horror stories and our puppy having all the paperwork from breeder, vet, bloodline etc. DO NOT BELIEVE THIER STORIES! The breeding facility they claim to go an visit doesn’t even exist and the breeder was tied to an Amish puppy mill ring in Indiana. I wish I could give this place negative stars! We love our puppy and will do whatever we can to fight this stuff wrecking havoc in his little body, but will never step foot in petland again!!

Do not buy from here! I spent too much on a registered puppy. They explained that Petland was waiting on the registration from the breeder and Petland would mail it to me as soon as it was received. That was a little over two years ago. I have called 3 times and spoke to “managers”, always with assurances that they would get to the bottom of it. I don’t like to post negative reviews, but I gave them two years to make it right. Never again

We had a good experience purchasing our dog, but she was very sick. By the 3rd day she developed kennel cough and giardia. We battled that for months. Come to find out the vet they recommend cared more about us getting in there to spend money vs actually educating us on how to treat it. According to the cdc things do need to be disinfected several times daily, ESPECIALLY their water source. AND they need to be tested again within 24-48 hours after finishing the meds... not 3 weeks later when they can get us to spend more money with them. We will never get another dog from there.

A few weeks back I went into Petland and fell in love with my puppy, and took him home. And that’s the only good thing that's happened. From the moment I brought him home, he started having a horrible cough that he’s never gotten rid of. I’ve taken him to the vet twice. He’s been on medication for two weeks straight and he still has issues with his cough and I’m going in for a third time in 2months. He’s also developed some intestinal issues that I also have to take him back to the vet again for the third time. And then on top of everything else on the night when I purchased my dog, the cashier/manager did not look like she appreciated her customers or the people that worked under her. She yelled across the room to tell someone to take the trash out. And yelled instructions to other workers. When it came to my transaction, there was a lot of sighing, eye rolling, and condescending tone to her voice that gave the impression that my presence, and my money, was irritating her and not appreciated. I intend to never shop at Petland again due to the questionable practices of how it treats its animals health and the poor Customer Service.
Sidenote: The medical paperwork I received from Petland about my dog this different than what my own vet has said. My paperwork that I received from Petland stated that My puppy who was less than three months old was already neutered. But my vet says they wouldn’t have done any operation to a dog that young and there’s no signs of any surgery that was done on him no scarring.
Don’t shop here. It’s very shady

The only reason your getting 2 stars instead one 1 is because I love this dog. The cashier that checked us out, super rude. Doesn’t want to be there. The guy and girl that was handing out the puppies to everyone, they were working their butts off.
These dogs are super over priced. The “Kit” that comes with your dog.. don’t waste your money. The spray “pee here” doesn’t work. Dog bed is a thin mat, treats she don’t even like. (Supposedly that’s what they had there), toys that are useless. They give you a cage that’s too big for the animal. We got the Sheltie and the cage they helped us pick out fits our full grown German Shepard.
You can tell they never been outside before. Scared of the wind. Trying to get in the house to pee since they just pee where they sleep. Should be illegal. Dogs stuck in windowed cages all day. Being passed from stranger to stranger. I honestly think if you’re going to sell puppies they should take their business to the out skirts of town so the dogs have a place to go outside.
It took days to get her to be comfortable enough to even bark. Now she runs around playing with the German shepherd and pit bull.
Also, the “first vet visit is free if you take it to our vet” is half way true. ONLY the exam is free. Then they want you to get all their shots and they don’t even give rabies shots. Plus if you live away from Wichita, just remember you will only have 4 days to get her to their vet or make your appointment or your “warranty” is not valid anymore.
Do not waste your money on these puppies. Look for actual breeders. $4k for a husky!! $3700 for gold retriever! Run people. Just run.
