I just drove to Wichita from Colorado for absolutely no reason. After multiple phone calls to confirm price and appointments not a bilateral total hip replacement surgery, Northridge Veterinary Clinic & Rehabilitation hadn’t even looked at the X-rays I provided and had Tonka down for a surgery on the wrong part of his body. And that instead of 4K they now wanted 9k per hip. I wasted a lot of time and money on this with gas and hotels and I’m not happy. Tonka is still in pain and I am tired.

Very kind staff and veterinarian. Love that they don’t want to do unnecessary procedures or medications. They took plenty of time and answered all of my questions and concerns. I’m really looking forward to working with them for my dog’s best health.

Staff worked above and beyond the call of duty. We found a stray dog & they invited us to come down to scan for a chip, found the owner & they called them personally. Dog is now home sweet home! A Big Thank-You to the staff!

My pup had surgery in November of 2022. This place is amazing. The staff is friendly and great with the animals. My puppy had to have a TPLO, and they did such a wonderful job that you can't tell which leg had it done. I would recommend them to anyone.

They are after one thing and one thing only! BEWARE! They will suck you in! Real nice, treat you good till you have big problems! Then they hang you to dry AFTER you pay them!

The Doc spent a lot of time with Raja and me and examined her comprehensively. She listened intently to me and Raja's long medical history as she is almost 12 years old. She offered a comprehensive rehab plan, and I look forward to getting my girl better mobility and, hopefully, a few more good years!

This was our first visit, Dr/Staff was helpful even when I stopped in the day before to set up the visit. Dr. Sydney Rathjen examined our pet and we felt comfortable as she did the examination and explained everything. Shout out to her and the Team!

Scam artists, was willing to pay 4500 for my dogs surgery, then they did 500 dollars worth of xrays incorrectly and called to try to get us to pay money for another set with additional fees for sedation. It was tough for me to pay 5k for a 16 week old puppy but they decided to be greedy and try for even more money. Absolutely do not recommend.

I went for a consultation for a growth plate fracture in my puppy’s knee. The surgeon tried to pressure me into an operation that my puppy did not need. I am not exaggerating. A gut feeling told me to get a second opinion. (Because I felt that i wasn’t getting a clear explanation as to why it was needed.)
I had his X-rays sent to a kstate orthopedic surgeon who said he just needed rest. I’m sad that many people trust her to do what’s best for their animals. And I am so glad I didn’t give her thousands of dollars to hurt my dog more than he already was.
My recommendation is to get a referral from kstate before doing any type of orthopedic surgery. I would find a different surgeon, too.

We have been taking our elderly cat to Northridge for two years, now. He recently went downhill fast (he was nearing 20 so we knew it was coming even if it was still hard) and we made the decision to let him go. They were so kind, patient and supportive. They gave us a little glass bottle with his fur in it and later we received a condolence card signed by everyone in the mail, along with a hand-made memorial card with his paw and nose print. I have never had a vet who did anything like that. In fact, my last cat that passed, the vet forgot that he died and sent me a reminder for his vaccinations!!!
I don't know that there is any doctor that is infallible with diagnosis or treatments but Dr. Brittany also helped with a different cat that relapsed after an antibiotic from another vet failed and her second opinion was invaluable to its recovery.
I can't praise staff, vets or assistants enough at this place. They not only genuinely care for all animals (as I know all vets do) they go out of their way to show it and to give owners empathy, understanding, patience and kindness in the process.

Update: 05/31/24 ☆☆☆☆☆ Still seeing Dr. Holly, he's doing much better. I highly recommend her.
2nd 9/24 ☆☆☆☆☆ Took my dog Casper to see Dr. Holly Smith for a chiropractic and acupuncture treatment. He had some issues with his back and neck..other vets were bringing up putting him down, but I refused because he's not to that point yet, and Dr Holly agreed. He responded beautifully and is doing so much better now! A+ to Rachel and Dr Holly! Thank you so much for the kind and gentle care for my baby!
First visit: ☆☆☆☆ I love Dr. Hellmen...she's wonderful. Prices are a bit high, but great people.

LOVE Dr. Holly and staff! Our dog actually likes going in there to see them. During our appointments they all make us and my our baby feel as though she is their only concern. Focused in on her care! Our primary veterinarian recommended Dr. Holly as supplemental treatments because our vet does not do those specialties. We never feel slighted because our dog is not one of their "regular" patients. Chiropractic and acupuncture treatments have done wonders for our 12 year old gal She still walks everyday and plays like a youngster! We acknowledge their contributions to her good health from the great treatments she's received at Northridge. We are very grateful!
