Longtime local business, walked in, they didnt have tires onhand that I needed. They immediately got on their system and picked up the tires from a local distributor. Out in about 2 hours, it's a Monday and they had a lot on their plate but still fit me in. Will be back for future bussiness

My daughter and I were traveling earlier this year and got a flat tire on the highway. We called around and were referred to Bear Tire. Everyone there was super helpful and super friendly and professional. They also referred us to someone close by for used tires (sorry forgot the name) and they were just as great! We are very grateful for everything that you did for us!! Would highly recommend!!!

My wife has been going to Bear Tire in Wichita for routine oil changes, but after our most recent experience, we won’t be returning—and I strongly urge others to be cautious.
She took in her 2023 Subaru, and they told her the engine was “about to blow.” That warning caused a lot of concern—and rightly so. When she got home, I checked the oil myself and found it was severely overfilled. Their receipt showed they added 6 quarts, even though the car only requires 4.4 quarts.
When I brought this to their attention, they claimed they’d been putting in 6 quarts because they thought it was a turbo. First, it’s not. Second, even the turbo version only takes 5.5 quarts, so their explanation made no sense. They also told me that overfilling the engine “won’t cause any damage,” yet immediately recommended draining it—before I even told them they were the ones who overfilled it.
To make matters worse:
1) They never offered to reimburse us for the original oil change.
2) They didn’t cover the bill from the shop we had to take it to in order to have the oil drained properly.
3) They didn’t even offer to pay for the excess oil they incorrectly added—at nearly $10 per quart.
4) And they admitted they don’t retain service records, which is incredibly irresponsible, especially for newer vehicles still under warranty.
This wasn’t just a simple mistake—it was a series of poor decisions, excuses, and a complete lack of accountability for a situation that could cause engine damage and void the manufacturer’s warranty on a relatively new car. I expected more from a professional shop, especially one we've trusted for years. We won't be going back.

I got my tire patched from here and ever since then the patch has been leaking and I have to air up my tire everyday. For a tire shop that's not good representation for this business.

In the process of moving my wife's car was packed full like an intricate Jenga puzzle. She accidentally ran over a strap that punctured her tire with a slow leak on the highway and stopped about 2 miles from the store. Of course it was evening on a Friday and they were about to close. My choice was find a shop that could help her ASAP or drive 4 hours with an exhausted baby to go fix and unload her car to access the spare. I called the shop, they told me they were about to close but could look at it. They were able to quickly put a plug in and she was back on her way. I am reminded again that good service isn't always convenient. Good service is going the extra mile not because you have to but because you care. I appreciate the staff and owner's commitment to help even when it goes a little long in the day. I would give them 6 stars for this if I could. Thank you.
