I’ll never take my pets here again. They charge far too much for things other vets charge a fraction of their prices for. Their front desk ladies are rude and uppidy. They got my cat who has FHV on a Z pack, I take her in for yearly exams just so I can keep up with her Rx. They have my like 96 refills this last time but didn’t honor those when I only used maybe 15 of them because the year was up. They are money hungry and only care about themselves. I get you have to make a living but it’s grossly overpriced for how little the vets themselves actually do for you.

I think I speak for my entire family in leaving this review, as we all have only the absolute best things to share about Auburn Hills.
We began seeking care at the Animal Hospital for our elderly, 16-year-old dachshund, Morgan, when her health began to decline this year. I feel called to share my thoughts for any other parents of sweet fur-babies as you make informed decisions on your animal’s care. I know that I, for one, read through all these reviews as we made the most difficult decisions for our girl, and I hope that I can bring some peace to anyone else who may be navigating such a hard time and seeking effective and compassionate care for their pet.
With all that said, I’d like to add that our family didn’t see Morgan as a typical “pet,” as she is so much more to us than that. The entire staff at Auburn Hills not only truly replicated our love for her, but provided quality care to her, and to us, that we’ve never received from any other vet clinics or providers in this area. Dr. Q, specifically, treated Morgan in her final months, and talked through quite literally every single symptom, ailment, minor or major concern, treatment option, and financial decision that was being made on her behalf. Though I’m sure our family was incredibly annoying in calling the Animal Hospital about every insignificant or significant change Morgan faced as her health declined over several months, Dr. Q and the entire office staff treated us with sincere compassion and truly a near-equal level of concern that we had for our girl’s health.
Morgan was diagnosed with the final stages of heart failure in her final months, and I will never forget Dr. Q telling us that his job was to allow Morgan to die of old age and not her ailments. I believe he did just that. As we had exhausted all treatment options, we ultimately made the excruciating choice this past week to allow Morgan to rest, and Dr. Q and his assistant (whose name I can’t remember, I’m so sorry) were incredibly objective, loving, and took things at exactly our pace as we worked through this horrible choice. Every call was not only answered but immediately addressed, directly, by Dr. Q or his assistant, and every cry was met with sincere grace and love.
I would recommend the Animal Hospital at Auburn Hills, and specifically Dr. Q and his technician, to literally any pet parent who sees their animal as more than “just” an animal. The entire staff’s gentle demeanor and sincere concern for our girl’s wellbeing was absolutely unmatched at any other facility we have ever visited with our Morgan, and I will be transferring all of my animals’ care to Auburn Hills as I move forward.
Thank you so much to Dr. Q and his technician. I’m so sorry that I can’t remember her name. We truly could not be more grateful or indebted to you for your love of our special girl, who was far more than “just” a dog to our family. We are so glad that we found you in her final months.

My Aussie, Hylo, and I came to visit family. We are from out of state. Hylo had an issue with his paw. We were able to get into see Dr Hand early the next morning. She and her staff were so wonderful! The gentleman at the front desk was sympathetic, accommodating and very efficient. The vet techs and Dr Hand actually got down in the floor with my dog who is very nervous around exam tables. Hylo was scared and they were so kind to him that he was giving out kisses to them. Excellent service. They checked on Hylo the next day.

I searched online for a place to take my cat April. The last place I priced was out of my price range. I also did not like the idea of animals walking around the office and other peoples babies being kept in the exam rooms that were being treated for who knows what. Then you pay for treatment and get if you cannot pay we cannot help you if your baby is really sick. I do not feel that way here. They asked all about her.

Everything about my experience was very good. I was pleased that my regular vet trusted you with Molly's care. That says a lot to me. Friendliness of staff, knowledge and gentleness of doctor, cleanliness of facility and compassion that I saw when I was there, all made a good impression on me.

While we were upset and frustrated that the 24-hour vet wasn't 24 hours during the week and we weren't able to get into at least 5 other vet clinics the next morning, we're so glad that they had space for us here. They got us in at 10 AM when I called them last minute at 8:32 AM after no one else had any appointments available. We were worried about the prices being higher at an animal hospital but everything seemed reasonable and the care was amazing. Our male cat had a UTI and they treated the situation with the urgency it deserved while still being so kind and welcoming. Beans had never been to the vet before and they made sure he was calm and handled him with care. Dr. McQuilliams patiently answered all of our questions and the vet tech Lea was so knowledgeable and kind. They followed up with us the next day and made sure Beans was doing okay. I just feel like they went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed, remembered, and cared for. It was so nice after being so worried about our cat that we felt like he was in excellent hands and wasn't treated like just another patient. Beans is happy and on the mend and if we ever have any issues, I'm not hesitating to bring him back here. Thank you guys so much for making this scary experience so much easier!
