I was the only one checked in, at 2:05 and after about 15 minutes the front desk person went to look in the back because she said she could not find certain tests that were ordered . About 10 minutes later, the phlebotomist came back. She was apparently at lunch. I told her I had been waiting at this point 30 minutes. She was very apologetic and nice, and went to look for the front desk person. That took another 5-10 minutes. The front desk person should have told me it was going to take longer than 30 minutes or that the phlebotomist was at lunch. That would be the considerate thing to do! But Elizabeth was very speedy, experienced and courteous. She helped the front desk person enter codes she was needing.

If I could give this place a negative star, I would. The people seem like they have no idea what they are doing. I had to take my month old son in for a repeat PKU and they seemed like it was their first time doing it. Of course the test they did came back inconclusive cause they didn’t do it correctly. We had to come in AGAIN, for the third time, to repeat the test and they poked him 7 times to get one test complete. This third test also came back inconclusive and they couldn’t even call to tell me after a week of waiting. So if you need anything done on your kid, DO NOT bring them here. No one here knows how to do anything, and I am being polite.

The people here DO NOT know how to draw blood for CHILDREN. Please do not take your children here. Also why would you rip the tip of your glove to try and find the vain and not put a new glove on. Only after I said something.

This so called lab place isn't very professional, or respectful of their patients fears. My experience with them was absolutely horrifying & extremely painful to the extent that I literally told the nurse lady that was drawing my blood all about it & I was screaming because it, was extremely painful & it's been like almost a week since my visit & the vein & my entire arm are still very sore ? ? ? & very tender to the touch.I can still feel the pain all up & down my arm.I do not recommend this lab at all. Will not be returning. Only reason I was sent there was by my doctor.1 of my worst most horrifying ? fearful & extremely painful experience ever!!

Came to this AMS to get blood work done. I don't currently have insurance and this place is saving me over 100 in expenses. The lady at the front desk was pleasant and helpful. There was no wait time on a Friday afternoon. The health care worker-nurse- that collected my sample was nice and professional. I hate having my blood taken- always have. Luckily, the nurse initiated a distraction conversation to help bc she knew how to deal w someone that hates their blood being taken. It was a good conversation- a short conversation since she was skilled in her profession and was in and out like a boss. That's it everything- the whole experience-was all over in a matter of minutes. The ladies will have my results to my Dr Monday. Great job ladies-

I took my daughter here for a blood draw. That part was quick and everyone was friendly enough, however they never sent the results to the doctor. We called to see what was happening and they said they did not have the doctors name. (I have a digital copy of the order that includes the doctors name along with a phone and fax number.) They were really irritated that we called and not the doctor. We gave them her name and they said they would fax it. Well a week and a half later and countless phone calls from the nurses and doctor to them we still are unable to get the blood test results that we needed. The doctor called me angry and exasperated at them because we are unable to help my 1 year old due to their incompetence.

Excellent draw station, I've only been here a couple times for Lab but they are quick and efficient (I understand sometimes there are busy times of the day). They do the best they can to help and keep up with the busy flow of patients. They also allow you to choose basic labs to be drawn and to pay out of pocket if needed for a cheaper price (than insurance sometimes).

Visited the 1515 S Clifton Ave location. Yelling your name, DOB, test type, and testing reason across a room full of people isn't HIPAA compliant. Then, after loudly calling my dr for clarification of orders, the tech released additional phi to the waiting room. When I mentioned to the tech that announcing my personal and medical information to the room wasn't "very HIPAA" of her, she rolled her eyes and said that "that's why nobodies supposed to have their phones in here".That's not how the law works. Announcing phi, name, dob, etc to a small room containing 6 people is illegal. Doesn't matter whether those people have phones, computers, pen and paper, or ancient sumerian tablets at hand. The law was broken and the tech was snotty and entitled about itAdditionally, when I placed my sample in the collection box the sample from a previous patient was still present. Not only is this another breach of phi, but it had been sitting at room temp for 25-30 minutes at that point. It has been several years since I did any specimen collection, but I would have been in big trouble for leaving one at room temperature for so long. I wouldn't trust any culture results received from this lab

Received a bill 90+ days after lab work for an annual test that every single insurance policy will cover. When I called to ask why I was receiving the bill, they stated they didn't have my insurance information. Wouldn't common sense (not to mention basic customer service) lead you to call the physician's office that sent the lab work in to gather the insurance information if it was missing? Not the end of the world, but it's irritating as a consumer to have to do the leg work for these companies that know the process in and out and simply have no inclination to consider how to provide user focused service.
