Wow! I LOVE this place. This was my first time ever doing barre and I was actually nervous because I had read the reviews that said they did not like the class because they were called out in class to make corrections. But honestly, that was one of my favorite parts. I would much rather be doing an exercise with good form than with bad form. And they were so nice about doing it and so helpful. But the biggest thing I noticed was how welcoming every single person in my class was on the very first day. They truly are like one big happy family and it was one of the most challenging workouts I have had! I cannot wait to go back for more.

Moved away from KC almost 5 years ago and still miss this place. I had the best instructors and was in the best shape of my life at the time. I felt so much positivity and motivation here. If there were any issues with my account or membership, they always worked with me and made me feel valued.Poor experiences at other studios since has made me want to shout from the rooftops that if you live in Kansas City, you have a gem! I remember being a little wary of the price tag, but can say it is well-worth the money. If I ever move back to KC, I will most likely sign up for another membership before I even unpack my moving boxes.

I trusted The Bar Method two years ago when I felt lost in my body. I was about to get married and wanted to feel strong and reconnect with myself before the big day. Now, I have a sweet 5 month old baby girl and am ready again to transform my body and give myself dedicated time to focus on myself. I feel great! I feel strong, capable and centered. I’m grateful to have such an awesome place to go (AND to bring my baby girl with me to play while I’m in class). Thanks BarMethod!!

I asked my sister to go to a free class at a fitness clothing shop one day, it was 2011. I heard about a new place opening called, The Bar Method and I was 13 weeks out from a c-section and not feeling my healthiest. My sister agreed and we popped in to that shop, wearing an oversized t-shirt, maternity leggings and truthfully a little, or a lot nervous, I found my spot hidden between two racks of leggings. The nerves were eased immediately when I was welcomed by a warm and understanding group of women. Some were stronger, some were older than me, some younger but you could feel that we all had the same goal, to do something for ourselves that felt good. That was 11 years ago, before the brick and mortar was even set on the Leawood location.Fast forward to today and I still have the same feeling of belonging, strength and happiness at the Bar Method. I have taken breaks over the years but something always pulls me back. This time a torn calf muscle. I knew that the no impact, strength building classes and stretching would be just thing to help repair and rebuild my injured leg (and ego). And sure enough, after a month of class it feels great and so do I!Thank you Bar Method. You are like the old friend you can miss for a long period of time, but when we see one another, slip on those familiar grippy socks, start feeling that warm, shaky feeling in thigh and a deep quiver in my abs, I know it's just like old times.

I am new to the Bar Method. I have been an "exerciser" all my adult life. This is a different experience for me! In just a short time I am noticing development and increased strength in every muscle. It is obvious everyone in the class is committed and the teachers work very hard. Happy to spread the word.

I am extremely grateful for the bar method studio and their classes! Friendly and very helpful instructors. Great workout that truly changes your body when you stick with it. Fun to challenge myself and so rewarding to feel myself getting stronger or improving my form. (If you need a solid workout that lets you go from “gym” right back to work that is also a perk of bar method.)

Bar Method in Kansas City is a special place. It provides the safest workout from instructors who are extremely knowledgeable and ready to help you get everything out of your time in class. The community is next level and I always look forward to taking class beside other people who inspire me to work harder and do better. I feel so lucky to have found such an amazing workout while being surrounded by so much support and encouragement. It’s become my favorite place to start my day.

I've been part of The Bar Method community for 6 years now and still love it. I'm able to consistently work out 3-4 times per week. I'm so happy to have found an exercise that I can do for many years to come. I just turned 60 last year and I feel like I'm in the best shape of my life. Can't imagine NOT doing Bar. The workouts are so effective and the instructors are very knowledgable and personable. And I've so appreciated the Live Stream classes this last year. Our office is not yet scheduled to open and not sure what the long term plan is so I hope these continue!

I can't believe I am now one of those people that loves working out... but I am, because of Bar Method! All of the instructors are motivating and compassionate and encouraging. I love the sense of community they have built, and the studio itself is so nice and clean! I look forward to every class, and especially appreciate the extra steps they are taking to ensure safety during these 2020 times.

I love attending classes at The Bar Method West Plaza!! The instructors are so terrific and personable, the studio is always clean, and I leave feeling recharged and strong. Highly recommend!! A+++++!!!
