Way overpriced! Location right off hwy, but had to use office across the street to register.
The room had no frills, ancient small tv, 30 year old microwave. Old fridge with broken racks, but hey I did chisel out a couple of t-bone that had been in the freezer for months. Dirt and hair in the tub drain, trash on the floor, broken towel rack on the counter. No toilet paper holder. There was another hanging rack for towel and washclothes, but instead of using it they were piled on a shelf. No pool or outdoor seating.
I stayed at an adorable motel in Western Kansas the night before for $55 that was modern had flowers and seating outside and very comfortable. The total at the Simmer Inn was $116 the most I've ever paid for a "motel" in Kansas and I've stayed at several!

Taking my mom and daughter on a road trip. Booked this so we can see the Oz museum. Super comfy room, quiet, nice bed and fat comfy pillows. Free breakfast across the road and the main hotel. Meal was good and lots to choose from. Easy check in and out and staff was friendly. Would stay again. Only downside was no ice.

Room was filthy! Bugs and furniture dirty! We reserved non-smoking rooms. Couldn’t even bring our luggage in. Went down the street and purchased air fresheners. Thinking of sleeping in the car!!

I tried to stay there in one of the sweets, it was extremely dated and had no TV in the room as shown with the pictures showed. Don't expect much from this place. I asked for another room, through text, BTW they won't talk to you on the phone, a matter of fact there is no one in the office and no one to talk to. I had to text them to get another room witch took 45 min to do with no luck. I had to cancel my reservation and ask for a refund.

Unidentified odor. Needs new carpet, very dirty carpet. Brown water came out of the shower, but it cleared up. No mattress pad, but we believe the sheets were clean.

Under new management. They haven’t fixed anything yet as of 9/1/23.- electricity breaker flipped every five minutes- dirty floors- cockroach in bathroom- no trashcan- no coffee- refrigerator didn’t work- phone number on auto text, emails and website is disconnected- office is vacant but looks like a crime scene insideI hunted down a cleaning lady to learn that the motel is now run by Wamego Inn across the street. Luckily, they had one room left there and let me move. My family members staying at the Simmer weren’t so lucky.The Simmer needs to be closed and undergo a full renovation and inspections before they book anymore guests.

Great experience while we stayed. The person working the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I brought my grandma with me and booked the Wizard of Oz room as a surprise and she LOVED it.My only suggestions would be to double check to make sure the bathroom is fully stocked (we didn't have toilet paper when we arrived) and to touch up the mural in the bathroom if possible because the paint is a little chipped. :)

The rooms were mostly clean. But they are incredibly rundown. Mismatch everything, old squeaky beds, funky smells, a true old roadside motel.

Don't let the outside fool you. This was a nice little motel. They are remodeling but our room was done and up to par. The room was clean and the bed was perfect.

This motel was a flashback to the 80's. Everything very worn out and delapidated. Lady was friendly and said they were slowly remodeling. Doors were keypads that were a pain.
