I deliver new cars to them. I don’t know about the sales department. Seem to be friendly.

Sad to be making this review. We bought a van from a private owner a few years back in Wamego who said they had always used Brown, so for continuity of vehicle care we just kept using them too.We brought the vehicle in whenthe sliding door out of no where was unable to be closed both manually and automatically. After their diagnosis they told us the fix would be $1,200. It wasn’t like those places that write up a bunch of “here’s what it could be” stuff and then you gamble on what you want to fix. It was “here is what it needs and here is how much it costs”. When we picked the vehicle back up after the repair and got it home, we discovered issues with the same door that they had serviced, issues that were not present prior to the reason we brought it in. We took it back to the shop immediately. The next business day they told us since that this was out of their league, being a Honda, they were sending it back to Manhattan to the Honda dealer. They do not charge us anything for the repairs they had shop #2 do. We pick our vehicle up in their lot with a cable hanging out of the sliding door track (see picture) and a shocking amount of mudon the interior floor space side of the door (see picture - only the mud.) We get the vehicle home again and immediately experience the very same problem that we returned it the first time for. I opened the door 10 times, and 10/10 times it doesn’t work properly. We called them back hoping they would feel compelled to make this right, now that they also have invested their own money into it but at this point it is clear they would rather just wash their hands of us.It is kind of horrifying to have a place tell you, AFTER they’ve charged you $1,200 for repairs, that your type of vehicle is really not one they work on often since they aren’t a Honda shop. I’m not sure why they wouldn’t have just said that in the first place before racking up $1,200 worth of repairs that didn’t work. I’m also not sure what type of reputable shop feels good about sending you home in a vehicle with a cable hanging out of the “fixed” area, and mud all over the interior. Whether these were from Brown or shop #2, ultimately Brown is the one we paid, and the who returned our vehicle in this condition.THREE days before this all went down, another person wrote a 1 star review stating they also got their vehicle returned in worse condition than they dropped it off in. (See pictures) The shop’s response was very dismissive of the persons concerns.I don’t agree with everything in the other review. I think Brown is also ultimately disappointed with the outcome here too. They are out money, they’ve lost a customer who was prepared to use them for life, and they still don’t know why the vehicle doesn’t work properly. The only bright spot of this place is Dawson. He stood in literal arctic temperatures for us to show him our concerns, (feeling heard goes a long way with me and 100% he made us feel heard) and I know he was the driving force behind getting the vehicle to another shop on their dime. It sucks he’s surrounded by so many people holding him back, he was the only competent person we encountered at Brown throughout all of this, and he seems really great. Just like the other reviewer, we also found the front desk lady to be rude before we ever even knew we’d have issues beyond the first repair. Not sure why they were so dismissive of that in their response to other review. Its true.Ultimately, it sucks to be a tiny young family with 3 babies, not have your primary vehicle for 3 weeks, and have a place do$1,200 worth of work on a vehicle that they admit to you, twice, after the fact, is outside of their scope of practice. We are left with a vehicle that has issues it didn’t have when we first took it to Brown & now needs vacuumed, $1,200 in the hole on a vehicle we would have just traded in if we had known would be this expensive to become fully operable again. Possibly saddest of all, finding out your secret “diamond in the rough”, reliable body shop one town over isn’t what you thought it was. </3

What a joke this shop is. Overcharged and nobody could tell me what they even did to my car. Sent my car in to be fixed and it comes back even worse. Front desk lady’s were HORRIBLY rude and had an attitude with every word they said. What a poorly run business, had trouble with them a few years back and thought I’d try them again, what a mistake that was. And I’m not one to complain but this place is a money grabbing scam and I would never recommend going here ever to anyone. Thanks.

This review is to give a BIG shout-out to "Dawson". I had a bad situation involving a late-night breakdown on the interstate with an older collector car, and tried to make an educated decision to have my car towed to a reputable location. I ended up finding a resolution on my own and no longer needed the services here. However, Dawson called the next morning to follow-up as to whether i had gotten the help i needed. Beyond just saying great and wishing me well at that point, he bothered to take the time to discuss some of my questions and concerns over the phone, just to help and make sure i had what I needed to finish my journey. This was HIGHLY appreciated and well beyond the normal expectation. If the rest of his service crew are half as knowledgeable and caring as Dawson was, you'll be in great hands ? THANKS!!
