New to area, but not to a professional mechanic's shop. This shop is busy, he has quality tools, and knows his profession. I was a mechanic with 2 shops in the past (I quit because I now hate cars), so I look at the less obvious things (the cleanliness of the floor, the equipment, the tools, the way parts are kept on currently disassembled vehicles, and the mechanic's personal organization and knowledge of the specific vehicle (namely mine), and had 0 reservations on repairing my wife's vehicle. He did find other things and repaired them (like a broken motor mount), but also figured out a complicated issue quickly and concisely, and corrected it. This is a small shop with 2 guys and a lady working there, this isn't a dealer where you have 5 mechanics standing over each other. Pricing vs labor was very fair and reasonable, I could have done the work myself, but with minor savings and far more aggravation and a loss of several days and skin off my knuckles, so I feel this was money well spent. When dealing with a small shop, get the towing plan added on your insurance for about 30 bucks, this will usually cover about a week in a rental if it is a major repair and you have 1 vehicle this will save you some inconvenience. Parts are hard to get now post covid as well, so everything takes longer. Also if you want the mechanic to do a fast job, things get missed, or done sloppily, so best not to rush him, let him fix it right the first time. Bob will tell you how long something takes to repair, which includes him double checking the work prior to releasing it. My experience was that sometimes the shop was hard to reach on the phone (i am a product of the now, now now world), but Bob always responded back to a message I left, but then again this is a small shop, which has a solid reputation spanning several decades, so keep that in mind. He fixed the issues with the motor in a timely manner - about a week (was in a very inconvenient area and difficult to access, and required a lot of disassembly as well as troubleshooting, ordering parts, and scheduling it in with a heavy present workload), and the bill was about where I had estimated it to be, which was very fair and based on standard rate. but far less than other quotes in Wichita, and a fraction of the dealer's quote. I would recommend his shop and use his services again without hesitation.

Yep, found my mechanic. Fast, honest, great work.Replaced CV joint, wheel bearings, and strut mount for much less than I anticipated.Difficult to find a good mechanic anymore. Was driving my car again in 2 days.Definitely going back when I need them again!!

They appeared to be knowledgeable on the work. Could have been better in communicating to us what was going on with the vehicle. Maybe in the future they should consider hiring a receptionist.
