I started taking my son to the YWCA officially in July of 2020. The teachers that my son has had have been amazing between working through normal 1-3 year old behavior, potty training, etc. Everyday I drop my son off at daycare, I know he is safe and cared for. If I have any concerns, I just bring them up to either his teacher or the Director Neveah and they will go over a game plan or give advice for that particular situation. Enrollment was easy and fast. The staff is knowledgeable and understands all kids have bad days. My son wasn’t speaking when he first started daycare due to personal issues, now he is talking in sentences, knows his numbers, alphabet, shapes, colors, etc. They give a lot of encouragement especially on a bad day. I would recommend this daycare to anyone and everyone. 1000 out of 10!!!!

This review is for their child care aka Early Learning Center. On a scale of 1-5 I would rate them a -10 or -100.Horrible horrible experience enrolling my kid at YWCA Early Learning Center. Their current director Nevaeh Edwards is a liar, indifferent to parents needs and deceitful. I did the tour and submitted the paperwork for my kid's enrollment. For some reason Nevaeh was least interested in taking her in. She sit on the paperwork for two weeks and did nothing. I did several followups via text, email and calls. She won't respond most of the time and when she did she just kept saying she is busy. She never gave a timeline by which she can enroll my kid. She doesn't return the call whe she said she would. All in all she kept making a fool out of me and I wish she had denied my kid's enrollment in the first place. Because of her I had to lose spot in other daycares which we shortlisted.Probably she didn't like my face being an Asian or my skin color or god knows what. So much for the big words that YWCA posts.Shame on you.***If you are not American and Nevaeh Edwards is still the director, I wouldn't want to enroll my kid here.***

I havent received services from this organization in the past although at this point in time my family is in desperate need, upon reading the reviews I have to say that I am very DISSAPOINTED when reading another person's review, she had said she was in a bad domestic situation that is only getting worse and reaches out for help and she got NO RESPONSE, yet, at least a handful of times this organization responds to other reviews to let the reviewers know that they have mistaken this org for a different org. That's real sad!!!

They appear ti be supportive however, I have never been offered any bed anywhere to fmget OYT of domestic violence. We never worked on any emergency action plan or received any assistance with resources. What spend so much Money for people to go and BS all day? Some of us are actually trying hard to better our lives but its virtually impossible to get any work done with employees talking over you and clients being excessively loud. Is this not a healing place? The loud noise affects PTSD of those Whi have been in domestic violence. The clients are filthy and leave trash everywhere.

The YMCA didn't used to be this expensive, not to mention they charge big fee to join. Its recommended I swim 3 Xs a week. I cannot believe how much they are charging just to swim a couple hours.

4 times I've reached out to the battered womens shelter for help & am highly disappointed! 1st: they kicked me out while I was in the hospital & items were stolen. 2nd: told me they had no beds available when I got out of the hospital. 3rd: put me in a hotel due to covid-19, but kicked me out for having family visitors in my room "supposedly." 4th: always say you can still use resources but honestly don't help over the phone nor in person.

I've been working out at YWCA regularly since returning to Topeka in 2015. Equipment is clean and now socially-distanced. The cost of membership is reasonable. I get a peaceful and pleasant workout. Love staying in shape!!

Do not sign up with GreatLife Golf & Fitness. They will not let me cancel my membership. It is VERY DIFFICULT to find anyone who will answer the phone, they have an incorrect mailing address on their website and the membership cancellation is very well hidden. They must cater to the golfing community because when the fitness and swimming were closed due the virus, they still take your money.

GreatLife Golf & Fitness at the YWCA will not let me cancel a membership. I quit going after a few times because I was constantly being sexually harassed by another patron. I reported the issue many times, even when I was there for therapy--he interrupted my therapy each and every time!!! I became quite afraid!!! No one should have to be punished just because I won't return to their facility!!!

My name is Lauren w. I am in crisis. I am living in a bad neighborhood and my significant other is gaslighting me. It's a matter of time before things get worse. She has started controlling me and won't let me talk or have friends due to jeliousy. She feels like I don't care when I do everything. Please help me.
