He charged over $400 to tighten a part on my truck. Not new part. Sent a friend over there and he did work not authorized and he got gouged for over $1700, and the car ran worse and handled worse than when it went in. We suspect he did something to front end to get more work. Don't trust this outfit

I knew what was wrong with my vehicle. Called over the phone wanting a quote for repair. They told me they wanted to verify that that was what was wrong. They gave me the impression there would not be a charge for them to quote me for repair. I took it in and then they charged me for a diagnostic and quoted me absolutely ridiculous price to fix a simple radiator hose leak. They refused to let me have my vehicle until I paid over $100 because they spent 5 minutes looking at it. Thieves

I wish I would have read the real reviews and not the obviously fake ones. Totally ripped me off. Charged me double what any other shop would have charged. Also beware if you don't pick your vehicle up the same day it's ready they will you a $50 a day storage fee. Scam artist just like one of the other reviews say

This is one of the best places to go! Our air bnb host recommended going to Walt’s and the service is phenomenal and the men there are super great! They were super informative and showed us the problem so we could see what was going on as well!! They were the nicest people we have encountered!!! Please if you’re passing through, go to Walt’s if you need any car assistance!

A great bunch of guys. Walt's came highly recommended to us and they were able to diagnose and fix some pretty major things in 2 days time. I'm very happy I checked them out and I don't see myself going anywhere else for my car. Thanks guys!

Called them up at 1:46PM, asked for an estimate and received a fair price for an oil change, asked if I could come in and they got me in by 1:51PM. My oil change was down by 2:04PM. .Just thought I’d share my experience as it wasn’t a great one. I took my car to Walt’s here in Topeka LAST MONTH and a half because it was overheating. I just called for yet another update on my car that still isn’t done. They have over 2700 dollars worth of “repairs” and somehow still haven’t even addressed the overheating problem we brought it in for. No one called to update or ask if they could make these extra repairs. They just made them. Be careful this place has SCAM all over it. So here I am more than a month later still with no car. They haven’t fixed a single thing I asked them to.Walt called and cussed my roommate out, berated him and demanded he take down this post I made. He claims my post in untrue and there is no way overheating was our cars only problem. But the parts he replaced I just got done having another shop replace in December to get the car running. I took out a loan for 2700 to get my car back until court and they held my money and car hostage until I signed a paper saying I authorized all repairs. I searched for my 2003 James Bond Edition Thunderbird and drove to Pittsburg to pick it up. On the way back I noticed some things that needed to be repaired. I was looking for a shop that worked on older classic, collectible cars and always saw cool cars outside Walt's Auto Service. I am so glad I stopped in. He has fixed several issues and backed his work but I also love that he understands my emotional attachment to my car.Service: General repairs & maintenance
