Everyone was so lovely and helpful. They were also super informative and great with my rat. I needed to have her teeth trimmed and couldn’t find anywhere near me that was able to, and they were able to squeeze me in. It was slightly more expensive than I was expecting but I absolutely recommend them and will 100% be going back.

Vet visits are extremely stressful for my dog and I. UVC staff and vet were all very kind, calm, and supportive from the beginning to the end. By the end of the visit I was exhausted trying to keep it together for my dog and I wasn’t able to tell them how much I appreciated them. I brought my dog here because his vet was on vacation. They out performed his vet and we are going to continue with them as our primary vet care, if they can put up with a pair of nervous wrecks. Thank you all for being there for us during some of our lowest moments. Special thanks to Dr. Amanda Utt. Your knowledge led to a quick diagnosis. Your kindness and compassion has been evident. Thank you for giving me time to process my dog’s diagnosis and taking the time to speak with me one on one, when I was ready, regarding his care plan.

The clinic was referred to us and we are extremely happy with them. We have a cat that needed care quickly. I called Monday and they were able to get us in Tuesday. Tally, our cat, had abscessed teeth and was in a lot of pain. We left her in their care overnight so they could do surgery on her Wednesday. They removed the problem teeth and she's doing well!!!! Would definitely recommend their office!!!!!

I brought my rabbit here because my usual vet clinic was not equipped to perform the next level of tests he needed. Every single staff member was amazing from the moment you walked in, to when you left. We had Dr. Guernsey, and she was so informing and caring about his situation. Auggie did not get the diagnosis we wanted to hear, but he has had a wonderful life, and was loved by all!! Thank You UVCC

I've taken all of my pets over the last 25 years to University Veterinary Care Center, from hamsters, hedgehogs, canaries, parrots to cats and from routine check-ups to emergency visits. Dr. Snyder, Dr. Gratton, all of the doctors and staff are amazing. They're caring and knowledgeable, I've always been able to get an appointment when I needed one, and I get call-backs to check up on my pets after treatment. I highly recommend them.

I cannot praise this clinic enough — all the staff are so friendly and good with my dog. They are dedicated to providing the highest quality care to their patients at an affordable price. All the doctors are thorough, friendly, and professional. I have had the best experience with University Veterinary Care Center, and I am glad to have switched my pet's medical care over to them.

I have taken my reptile, a leopard gecko, to both of the nearby exotic pet vets in the last month, Gentle Care Animal Hospital in Lawrence and University Veterinary Care Center in Topeka. Even though Gentle Care is closer, if I have a choice I’ll be making the drive to University from here on out.The vets at University were kind, understanding, and friendly. The doctor I saw with was empathetic, non-judgmental, and seemed very knowledgeable about reptiles. Their office is clean and homey and didn’t smell like fear and pee upon entry, as most vets offices do. I’d highly recommend taking your exotic pet to them!

I like the fact that when you arrive, you park and text what space you are in. Many people don't understand that some animals, specifically dogs, do not like being around other animals. Dr. Utt was awesome. Very thorough and caring. She was professional and attentive. We checked my dogs lumps. I felt happy to be there and you can tell they care about their work. Kristyn was very nice on the phone.

This clinic is great very friendly and they were able to get us in a timely manner. We had a sick bearded dragon. This is one of the only places in town that will take care of lizards. He was very knowledgeable and or 12 with my kids and teaching them what they needed to do to help our little beauty recover.

I had never visited before but I recently needed some care for my red-eared slider. Making the appointment was very easy and they had an opening the next day. I like their "waiting-room" policy of just waiting in your car and letting them know you've arrived for your appointment. The doctor and staff were all very caring and informative. They took care of my turtle's needs and took the time to educate me on what I needed to know. And I was happily surprised by their pricing! I plan to contact Univ Vet Care Center for all my pet appointments and concerns from now on!

Sadly I had to update my review after contacting Marie who is one of many front office staff that cannot possibly follow simple requests. I found a different vet to see my pets and I contacted UVA to forward ALL OF MY PETS RECORDS to the clinic. Two weeks later I receive a call from our new vet stating my pets records are only partial and missing vaccinations plus meds. I am furious that I needed to drop everything four days before my vacation to get this completely led!!

I really like University Vet Care Center. Sometimes it is difficult to find 'Ferret' knowledgeable Vets, but this place has a few Doctors that deal with Ferrets, which is great. I have 4 Ferrets that go to University Vet Care.
